Role/Department: Senior Specialist Product Marketing, Public Market Investments/Asset Management Marketing

Northern Trust Asset Management is accelerating innovation and growth—and Marketing is helping shape what comes next. We seek an experienced product marketer to help commercialize our Public Markets capabilities, sharpen our competitive story, and help turn differentiated investment capabilities into compelling offerings for investors.

This Senior Specialist Product Marketing professional will support the development and execution of product marketing strategies across fixed income to equity to real asset Public Markets capabilities, with a focus on Liquidity, ETFs, and Custom SMAs. Working in partnership with product marketing directors, investments, product, client portfolio management, distribution, and other marketing teams, this individual will help develop positioning, value propositions, go-to-market plans, and content that builds awareness, supports sales conversations, and contributes to business growth.

The individual will manage defined workstreams, collaborate across Marketing Centers of Excellence and key business partners, and help ensure marketing programs and materials are accurate, differentiated, compliant, and delivered on time.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

•    Support and help execute product marketing strategies for assigned Public Markets investment capabilities, including but not limited to Liquidity, ETFs, and Custom SMAs, in alignment with business goals and established priorities.
•    Develop product positioning and distill technical concepts into simple, compelling messages customized by client segment (institutional, intermediary). Technical and promotional writing proficiency required. 
•    Manage defined product launch and go-to-market workstreams, including messaging, content development, campaign inputs, website updates, and sales enablement deliverables.
•    Develop and maintain product marketing content across presentations, web pages, articles, videos, social content, campaign materials, and recurring product communications.
•    Track deliverables, timelines, stakeholder inputs, and results; use available performance insights to recommend improvements to messaging, content, and activation.
•    Conduct and synthesize competitive, market, and client research to identify relevant trends, positioning opportunities, and content needs.
•    Partner with Compliance and Legal to help ensure materials meet applicable regulatory and review requirements across channels and regions.
•    As needed, assist the Marketing Operations team with maintaining, updating, distributing and enhancing product-related updates as needed (e.g., recurring performance communications and product actions across digital and print). 

Required Qualifications:
•    7+ years of asset management marketing experience, specifically with public market investments and B2B concentration required. 
•    Familiarity with institutional, wealth and intermediary client segments and their unique nuances, buy psychology and sales cycles. 
•    Experience supporting product launches, go-to-market programs, campaigns, and sales enablement initiatives.
•    Strong communication skills (written and verbal); demonstrated ability to hold the pen, writing product messaging that illustrates compelling, differentiated benefits for varied audiences. 
•    Strong project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
•    Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, including experience working as a consultative partner with investment, product, sales, compliance, and marketing partners.
•    Strong understanding of the US and International regulatory requirements/regulations. 
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Demonstrated use and adoption of Microsoft CoPilot; Familiarity with marketing automation, content management, analytics, and sales enablement platforms is beneficial.
•    Driven, self-motivated, high-performing, commercial mindset.

Salary Range:

$95,600 - 162,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
