The Role
As a Senior Systems Administrator at ProScore, you’ll take ownership of our AWS-based infrastructure and core systems. This role goes beyond day-to-day administration, you’ll be a technical leader responsible for designing scalable systems, driving automation, and setting operational best practices across the organization.

You’ll partner closely with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure our platforms are stable, secure, and ready to scale as the business grows.
What You’ll Do
- Own the design, administration, and optimization of ProScore’s AWS infrastructure across production and non-production environments
- Architect highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems to support API-driven and data-intensive workloads
- Lead infrastructure automation efforts using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Define and enforce operational standards, monitoring strategies, and alerting best practices
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews
- Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
- Implement and oversee AWS security best practices (IAM, network segmentation, encryption, access controls)
- Collaborate with engineering teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and system architecture decisions
- Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical escalation point for systems-related issues
- Maintain clear documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, cloud infrastructure, or SRE-related roles
- Deep, hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Strong Linux systems administration background
- Proven experience designing and supporting production-grade, customer-facing systems
- Strong automation and scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
- Experience working independently in a remote, distributed environment
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
Nice to Have
- AWS certifications (SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or equivalent)
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or HIPAA
- Background in high-growth startup or scale-up environments
