We are currently hiring for the role of Senior Technical Sales Specialist.
 

 

SUMMARY  

The Senior Technical Sales Specialist is the highest-level role in the Inside Sales team. This role combines expert-level technical knowledge with strategic customer engagement and mentoring responsibilities. It is ideal for someone who thrives in solving complex problems, leading technical efforts, and influencing customers and team success.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Leads high-level technical engagements with strategic customers, offering expert consultation and custom solutions.
  • Manages large or complex projects, including project specification, estimating, and coordination with vendors and engineering.
  • Mentors Sales Specialists and Technical Sales Specialists; act as escalation point for advanced issues.
  • Supports Sales Management with product trends, training initiatives, and customer insights.
  • Develops and maintains advanced product documentation, application guides, and training content.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in customer and internal technical training.
  • Partners with Product Management and Engineering to evaluate new product opportunities or technical gaps.
  • Proactively identifies process improvements and participates in cross-department initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or related field
  • Minimum of eight years in technical sales, engineering, or industrial automation
  • Expert-level knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, valves, and panel engineering
  • Ability to lead technical presentations and influence customer purchasing decisions
  • Strong project management and mentoring capabilities
  • Advanced skills in ERP, Microsoft Office, and valve and instrumentation sizing software
