The Senior UX Designer at Daxko will create intuitive and engaging user experiences, conduct user research, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product UX.
Daxko builds the software that powers fitness, wellness, and community organizations—everything from member management and payments to digital engagement and analytics. From small studios to the largest associations, we help thousands of fitness businesses streamline operations, enhance member experiences, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
As a Senior UX Designer, you will play a key role in shaping intuitive, thoughtful product experiences that support the people who rely on our software every day.
In this role, you will transform complex workflows into clear, accessible, and engaging user experiences across our product ecosystem. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to understand customer needs and design solutions that create meaningful impact.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong craft in interaction and visual design with curiosity about users and systems. You’ll help drive user research, prototype new ideas, and guide design decisions that improve usability and product satisfaction across Daxko’s platform.
This role reports to the Director of UX Design and offers opportunities to mentor others, influence product strategy, and contribute to the evolution of our design practices.
Design and Product Collaboration
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand user needs, business goals, and product requirements.
- Translate complex workflows into clear, intuitive user experiences that support real-world customer tasks.
- Generate multiple design concepts quickly and iterate based on feedback and user insights.
- Create high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes using Figma to clearly communicate ideas and solutions.
User Research and Validation
- Help identify and validate meaningful problems to solve through research and discovery.
- Plan and conduct research activities such as user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Evaluate designs through moderated and unmoderated testing, A/B testing, and other research methods.
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights to guide design decisions and improve product outcomes.
Design Systems and Craft
- Contribute to the growth and stewardship of Daxko’s design system, partnering closely with engineering.
- Document components, patterns, and usage guidelines to support consistent experiences across products.
- Help designers across the team use the design system effectively and identify opportunities for improvement.
Team Collaboration and Mentorship
- Mentor designers earlier in their careers and contribute to design critiques and knowledge sharing.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to uncover user needs and align teams around solutions.
- Bring user insights and design perspective to product roadmap and prioritization discussions.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Explore emerging design tools and workflows, including AI-assisted approaches that support research, ideation, and prototyping.
- Share learnings that improve team practices and strengthen our design culture.
Mobile Experience
- Design for native mobile platforms (iOS and Android), considering platform conventions, gestures, and mobile-specific constraints.
Travel for research may be required occasionally (less than 25%).
Core Skills
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across product, engineering, and customer stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma, including component-based design, prototyping, and file organization.
- Deep understanding of interaction design, usability, and user-centered design practices.
- Ability to design with accessibility and localization in mind.
- A thoughtful, iterative design approach that welcomes feedback early and often.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in UX design or a related role.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Familiarity with research methods such as user interviews, participatory design, or ethnographic studies.
- Experience using analytics or product insight tools (such as Pendo or Google Analytics) to inform design decisions.
- Familiarity designing for web and mobile platforms, including iOS and Android.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience designing enterprise software products.
- Familiarity with tools or technologies such as Pendo, Claude, or React Native.
- Experience collaborating with Agile Product Owners.
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams.

Where you fall within the compensation range is based on how you demonstrate the skills and competencies needed for the role. We typically reserve the upper half of our compensation bands for team members who have grown within Daxko. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or other performance-based incentives. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, recognition programs, and plenty of opportunities to grow your career with us.
The pay range for this role is $110,000 – $170,500 per year.

Located on the North Shore, the Bannockburn office is tucked away just off the highway, and neighbors College Park Athletic Club as well as the historical Trinity College.
