About the Role:

Everspring is looking for a bold, modern, and highly strategic Senior Vice President of Human Resources to lead and evolve our people function for our next stage of growth. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced HR leader, and a strategic thinker who thrives in the face of challenge, finds new and innovative ways to drive improvement, and is unafraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. They are by nature a “people person,” with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and a desire to oversee, build, and cultivate the interrelated people functions for our growing team.

The SVP HR will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO and other leaders to align talent strategy with business priorities. They will be equal parts strategist and builder: able to shape culture, attract exceptional talent, and create scalable people programs that help teams perform at their best. We seek a leader who is not only deeply experienced in human resources, but also tech-savvy, data-driven, and fluent in how modern tools - including AI - can improve recruitment, employee experience, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. They will oversee a small team and should be energized by change, comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels, and excited to build a high-impact people function that is ready for where work is going, not where it has been.

This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is located in Chicago, IL with a hybrid schedule that includes at least three in-office days each week, plus additional onsite time as needed to support business priorities.

Why This Role Matters:

This is a chance to shape the people strategy of fast-paced, performance-oriented company at an important moment in its growth. • Strengthen new hire onboarding program to accelerate productivity, engagement, and retention
  • Partner with leaders to identify current and future talent needs, succession opportunities, and capability gaps
  • Design and scale leadership development, performance management, career pathing, coaching, and learning programs
  • Lead all core HR functions, including employee relations, policies and practices, compensation, benefits, compliance, performance management, and organizational development

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on organizational design, team effectiveness, change management, and employee matters
  • Lead compensation strategy, including market benchmarking, pay philosophy, and program design, to ensure Everspring attracts, retains, and rewards top talent competitively and equitably
  • Oversee all aspects of Everspring’s comprehensive benefits and incentive programs to ensure competitiveness and that they deliver strong employee value
  • Drive a strong, connected culture that reinforces Everspring’s values, accountability, and high-performance standards
  • Manage all aspects of the HR budget, including setting and monitoring progress against Key Performance Indicators while adhering to strong operational discipline
  • Champion modern HR systems, workflows and tools that improve efficiency, insight, and employee experience
  • Identify opportunities to responsibly use AI and automation across people operations, recruiting, talent development, and internal processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in business or human resources a plus.
  • S-PHR or SHRM-SCP Certification required.
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in human resources leadership, with proven experience in the areas of responsibility listed above
  • Experience supporting mid-sized services-based businesses, ideally in an e-commerce, advertising, technology, and/or customer-service focused industry
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong operational and project management skills, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and tactical execution
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and action-oriented, with an ability to work with employees at all levels in a range of functions
