THE ROLE ​​

The Trade Desk (TTD) is seeking an accomplished and visionary Senior Vice President, Marketing Science to lead our global marketing science strategy and build a world-class capability that drives measurable business impact for our clients. This role will include leadership of our Solutions Consulting team, providing design and technical services to help large client build custom solutions (analytics, reporting, custom algos, workflow) on top of TTD APIs. This executive will partner closely with Client Services, Product, and Data Partnerships to design, implement, and scale marketing science programs that help brands and agencies maximize the value of their investment on TTD platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Marketing Science Strategy: Develop and execute a holistic marketing science strategy that enables our clients to achieve maximum business impact through data-driven decision-making and advanced measurement.
  • Client Partnership Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives (e.g., Heads of Measurement, Chief Analytics Officers, and CMOs) at Fortune 100 brands and leading agencies. Translate complex measurement and modeling insights into actionable strategies that enhance media effectiveness.
  • Program Development: Build and institutionalize TTD’s marketing science program, including frameworks for experimentation, test design, and advanced analytics that drive platform adoption and client ROI.
  • Measurement Excellence: Advance TTD’s capabilities in modern measurement methodologies, including Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), incrementality testing, and causal inference approaches.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Partnerships teams to influence our measurement roadmap, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry innovation.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of marketing science and analytics experts. Foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and thought leadership across global markets.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent TTD in industry forums, conferences, and client summits as a recognized expert in marketing science and data-driven marketing effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data science, or measurement leadership roles, with significant experience in ad tech, digital media, or consulting.
  • Deep expertise in statistics, experimental and test design, econometric modeling, MMM, and MTA.
  • Proven success in building and leading high-performing teams and scaling global programs.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Experience partnering with Product and Data teams to shape measurement capabilities and data partnerships.
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline preferred.

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only: In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$392,000$718,600 USD
