We’re seeking a fun, creative, and SEO-savvy blog writer to produce engaging, search-optimized content in the dating and lifestyle space. You’ll work directly with the client to refresh outdated blogs, write new pieces, and help maintain consistent content updates across a large portfolio of city landing pages. The ideal candidate understands SEO deeply and can write in a voice that’s witty, cheeky, flirty, and on-brand for dating audiences.

This role is perfect for someone who has experience writing for sites like Bustle, AskMen, or Elite Daily—or someone who can match that tone effortlessly. You’ll have flexibility to suggest topics based on search volume and write content that boosts visibility and traffic for a well-established matchmaking website.

Scope and Duration
  • 20hrs/month, possibility to increase
  • 6 month contract
Responsibilities
  • Write 1+ SEO-optimized blog per week (approx. 1,000 words each)
  • Refresh and rewrite existing blogs to align with SEO best practices and recent Google updates
  • Create compelling, relevant content for 20+ city-specific landing pages
  • Pitch timely and high-volume keyword-driven content ideas (e.g., "5 Date Night Ideas in [City]")
  • Optimize content structure, including titles, headers, and metadata
  • Collaborate with the client to match tone and voice; adapt to informal but polished dating/lifestyle writing
  • Write a downloadable booklet
  • Optionally create LinkedIn captions for blog posts or company updates
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of SEO content writing (including on-page optimization and refreshing strategy)
  • Proven experience writing in a conversational, playful tone (dating/lifestyle focus preferred)
  • Ability to pitch and validate topics using keyword research tools (e.g., Ubersuggest, SEMrush, or Google Keyword Planner)
  • Comfortable with light editorial direction and able to work independently with minimal oversight
  • U.S.-based and able to communicate during business hours when needed
  • Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Past work with dating or relationship blogs
  • Experience writing for media sites like Bustle, AskMen, Elite Daily, etc.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and ability to prompt effectively (a plus, not required)
  • Comfortable with quick onboarding and potentially scaling hours as needed

About Our Client

She specializes in connecting selective singles and building an engaging online presence through SEO-driven content. Known for her energetic, candid style, she seeks a writer who can produce playful, witty, and search-optimized blogs and landing pages. The writer will collaborate directly with a knowledgeable client who values creativity, fresh ideas, and consistent quality.
