The SEO Contractor will develop and execute SEO strategies, conduct keyword research, perform technical audits, optimize on-page elements, and collaborate with teams during a website migration.
We are seeking a highly skilled SEO Contractor with expertise in content strategy, analytics, writing, and technical SEO. This role will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition as we migrate multiple websites under one unified brand. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of search engine algorithms, and the ability to develop and execute both content-driven and technical SEO initiatives.
This 6-9 month contract position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is results-driven, and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute SEO strategies supporting brand and site migration, ensuring minimal traffic loss and improved search performance.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and content optimization to align with business goals and user intent.
- Perform technical SEO audits, identifying and resolving issues related to site structure, indexing, page speed, and Core Web Vitals.
- Collaborate with content writers, designers, and developers to implement SEO best practices across all digital assets.
- Monitor organic performance metrics, provide insights, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Optimize internal linking structures and improve on-page SEO elements such as meta tags, schema markup, and alt text.
- Work closely with the web development team to oversee 301 redirects, canonical tags, and migration planning.
- Stay up-to-date with SEO trends and algorithm updates, ensuring our strategies remain competitive.
About You:
- 7+ years of SEO experience, with a strong analytical, technical and contentSEO background.
- Working knowledge of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Jasper) and how they can be used to develop content strategies, enhance SEO workflows, and future-proof search visibility in an evolving AI-driven landscape.
- Proven experience managing SEO for branding efforts and large-scale site migrations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools.
- Experience optimizing websites for B2B SaaS or professional services industries is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with writers, designers, developers, and stakeholders to drive SEO success.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (Contentful).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
