SMX is seeking a Site Lead to support our client within the African continent. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day deployed aviation operations on the AFRICOM ARIES contract, including coordinating between deployed personnel (SMX and subcontractors), full spectrum mission success to include aircraft operational availability, local life support facilitation, logistical considerations, etc. and serves as a liaison with government points of contact. This position will require OCONUS deployed/on-site work at customer sites. The Site Lead will work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects and perform all functional duties independently.
This position requires a DoD Top Secret SCI clearance which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contract.
This is a 7/7, 12/12, 90/90 OCONUS rotational position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day teams' operation and performance
- Provide robust communication of activities, challenges, and recommended solutions with deployed teams and stateside program leadership
- Create and sustain a healthy and motivating work environment
- Direct and supervise resources for the performance of project assignments and activities
- Coordinate personnel, supply systems, support services and subcontractors and vendors providing services and materials
- Optimize operating results in terms of cost, methods, personnel and implements quality assurance, program directives
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety/environmental standards
- Ensure all site personnel adhere to host nation standards of conduct
- Collect and report metrics, manage scope, prioritize work and resources while acting as the identified on-site contact for the Government (Voice of the Customer)
Required Skills/Experience
- Required Clearance: TS/SCI
- Solid Manned ISR operations experience
- 5 years of aviation operational management experience or 10 years of similarly complex operations and lesser aviation experience
- Demonstrated leadership in successfully managing complex projects with diverse groups of personnel, equipment and mission support/aviation operations required
- Ability to work well with others at remote and austere locations in Africa
- Ability to work flexible hours to support flight operations
- Ability to work 12-hr days to include weekend and holidays, while deployed
- Ability to communicate in a concise and professional manner
- Ability to work with Microsoft, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Adobe products
