We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Developer - II to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining data solutions on the Snowflake Cloud Data Platform. The role involves building scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and ensuring efficient data integration from multiple sources.
The candidate should have strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, cloud technologies, and modern data engineering practices. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for loading and transforming large datasets.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database objects.
- Implement data integration processes from multiple on-premises and cloud sources.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, partitioning, and warehouse management.
- Develop data transformation logic using SQL, Snowflake Stored Procedures, and Snowpark.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business Teams to understand data requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are maintained.
- Support production deployments and perform root cause analysis for data issues.
- Automate data workflows and orchestration processes.
- Contribute to data architecture and best practice initiatives.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
- Expertise in Snowflake Architecture, Virtual Warehouses, Databases, Schemas, and Stages.
- Experience with Snowflake Features such as:
- Snowpipe
- Streams & Tasks
- Time Travel
- Zero Copy Cloning
- Secure Data Sharing
- Materialized Views
- Snowpark
- Strong proficiency in SQL and query optimization.
- Experience designing and implementing Data Warehouse solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Data Modeling concepts:
- Star Schema
- Snowflake Schema
- Dimension Modeling
- Fact Tables
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with data ingestion and transformation frameworks.
- Experience handling structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Parquet, Avro).
- Experience working with one or more cloud platforms:
- AWS
- Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with Python or Java for data processing and automation.
- Familiarity with Snowpark development using Python or Java.
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Informatica
- Matillion
- Talend
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Airflow
- dbt
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- 2+ years of hands-on Snowflake development experience.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies.
- Snowflake Certification.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Apache Spark.
- Kafka/Event Streaming.
- Data Lake Architecture.
- Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Compensation, Benefits and Duration
Minimum Compensation: USD 37,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 132,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
