Summary of Program

Jabil’s Summer Internship Program is set to launch in summer 2025. As an intern, you’ll have the unique opportunity to engage with Jabil’s leadership team and participate in a variety of experiences focused on professional development, networking, and community engagement.

Summary of Position

The individual will be responsible for processing agricultural data using Jabil’s Deep Learning tool, writing algorithms in Python based on the data output from the Deep Learning tool, and finally collecting data in agricultural settings to improve the AI models. The individual will support the Jabil Optics team.

Responsibilities:

· Using Jabil Deep Learning Tool, determine the best models for the A) Depthray furrow depth determination B) Chromis iceberg lettuce diameter

· Annotate training data, in Jabil Deep Learning tool, captured in Brazil, England, and North Dakota

· Update Python test code to simplify capture and processing of training data

· Create executable code, in Python, for outputting depth of furrow - linking output masks from Jabil Deep Learning

· Create User Manual

· Support investigation of Leaf Area Index and stem width data gathering

· Capture training data in agricultural settings using Depthray and Chromis cameras

Qualifications

Major(s): Computer Science

Class Year(s): Rising Freshman to Rising Sophomore

GPA: Min 3.0

Availability: Must be available to work in Boise, Idaho from Jun 1, 2025 – Aug 15, 2025

Technical Skills: Python, AI, familiar with robotics, algorithm development, strong math skills

Creative – Ability to look at data and develop algorithms to identify patterns

Self-starter – Ability to generate new ideas and execute

Open to working in an agricultural setting

The hourly pay range for this role is $16.00 - $32.00. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: May 27, 2025.
