Software Development Engineer II

We are looking for a self-motivated Engineer II to join our team. If you have a strong passion for travel software craftmanship and taking initiative, this role is for you! You’ll work with our growing software engineering team on our business travel booking platforms, including advancing our REST APIs, developing new features, and more.

What You’ll Do:

• Advance the evolution and development of the REST API

• Contribute to the extension and design of the platform

• Develop new features and new modules

• Participate in DevOps (automated CI/CD, testing, monitor-ability)

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent degree.

• Well-versed in SDLC and Agile methodologies.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development.

• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms.

• Good proficiency in any of the programming languages like Java, Golang, Python, or Bash.

• Proven ability to develop and support large-sized highly scalable software systems.

• Experience in AWS Services.

• Good knowledge of container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.

• Basic understanding of logging and monitoring frameworks.

• Familiar with cloud computing concepts along with an understanding of application communication and routing is a plus.

• Good experience in developing and deploying AWS cloud-based platforms.

• A deep understanding of network topologies with experience in hybrid cloud architecture will be a plus.

• Experience with the Agile Tools and Programming Practices.

• Knowledge of CI-CD principles and technologies.

• Insight about server-side design patterns is a plus.

• Ability to quickly pick up new technologies, and languages with an ease.

The US national base salary range for this position is from 

The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, the anticipated range of which is posted above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus which rewards participants based on individual and/or company performance.
