You’ll be joining our demand generation or efficiency teams, whose missions are to build transparent, delightful experiences to demystify the mortgage process, empower homebuyers to purchase with confidence, and improve our internal capability to deliver those experiences.
Location: Remote, US. Teammates located near Seattle, WA, Detroit, MI or New York, NY may work from our offices whenever they choose to.

Thrives in a startup environment with ambiguity and enjoys collaborating to figure out the best path forward.
Is a team-first engineer who jumps in to fight fires, provides constructive feedback, and thinks about both the customer and Tomo as a whole.
Learns continuously and stays current with new trends and technologies, especially in backend engineering and AI.
Has experience leveraging LLMs in software engineering and is excited to push our capabilities further.
Works independently and makes sound decisions without requiring heavy oversight.
Enjoys working with a geographically distributed team (US)
Building and maintaining scalable Python microservices
Contributing to API design and integration patterns across services
Deploying and supporting systems in production as part of an on-call rotation
Following healthy engineering practices, including code review, iterative delivery, automated testing, and continuous deployment
Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver seamless customer experiences
Leveraging AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps tooling to ensure reliability and performance
2+ years of experience delivering meaningful software projects to production
Understanding of modern software engineering practices, including logging, monitoring, continuous deployment, and automated testing
Proficiency with Python and building backend systems using microservice architectures
Interest in using AI tools as part of your developer workflow
To be inquisitive, ready to engage in vibrant debate, make difficult decisions quickly, and learn continuously.
Experience integrating or optimizing LLM-powered workflows.
Experience with SEO, site performance, and tools like PageSpeed Insights
Experience with observability tools like Datadog
Understanding of AWS, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Familiarity with financial services, fintech, real estate, or home lending technology
Experience with modern frontend frameworks or API contract design.
