Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly capable and intellectually curious Software Engineer with a strong academic and practical foundation in software engineering to join our technology enablement program. This role is designed for professionals with 1 to 3 years of experience who are eager to grow into technical leaders by acquiring deep knowledge of Zoho technologies, while actively participating in the design and implementation of real-world digital transformation solutions.
As a Systems Engineer, you will not only receive hands-on training in Zoho applications (Zoho Creator, Zoho CRM, Zoho Analytics, among others), but also engage in meaningful client-facing work. We value professionals who combine strong technical capabilities with the soft skills required to lead, communicate effectively, and continuously improve.
This is not a passive learning opportunity — it’s an active role with space to research, propose, design, and deliver.
RequirementsTechnical Skills Required
We are looking for a well-rounded professional with the foundational capabilities expected from a Systems Engineer:
Solid understanding of core computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering practices.
Strong problem-solving mindset, with proven ability to approach challenges methodically.
Experience in either frontend development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue, Angular) or backend development (Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, etc.).
Knowledge of software design patterns, system architecture, and best practices in application development.
Experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations.
Familiarity with relational databases and data modeling (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Exposure to low-code or business platforms (Zoho, Salesforce, etc.) is a plus but not required.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and frameworks.
In addition to technical skills, we’re looking for someone with the core thinking and learning capacities that define an engineer:
Critical thinking: Able to evaluate problems and solutions with depth, logic, and clarity.
Analytical thinking: Strong ability to interpret data, processes, and system behaviors to inform design or debugging.
Research orientation: Demonstrated ability to investigate technical challenges and independently identify effective solutions.
Learning agility: Passion for knowledge, continuous improvement, and staying up to date with emerging technologies.
We believe that technical skills alone are not enough — we’re building a team of professionals who can communicate, lead, and grow in multidisciplinary environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Results orientation: Focused on achieving high standards of quality and execution.
Effective communication: Able to explain ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Public speaking confidence: Willing and able to present solutions, participate in demos, and lead discussions.
Meeting management: Capable of facilitating and contributing meaningfully in client and team meetings.
Proactiveness: Constantly seeking ways to improve, contribute, and anticipate needs without waiting for direction.
Team collaboration: Open to feedback and committed to shared goals in cross-functional teams.
Commitment to continuous learning: Not just willing, but excited to evolve technically and professionally over time.
Spanish: Native or fluent (OPTIONAL)
English: Good spoken English is required, as you will engage with tools, documentation, and occasional international collaboration.
