As a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, Denver, CO or Dallas, TX.
We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and support software development teams within our retail line of business. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day development activities, ensuring projects stay on track, and driving timely resolution of issues. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with multiple development teams, foster cross-team engagement, and provide strong people leadership. You will guide technical direction and support the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Qualifications:
Proven experience managing software development teams
Background in Java development
Experience with Salesforce (including Salesforce UI development) is a plus
Ability to coordinate across teams and drive alignment
Excellent communication and leadership skills
In this role, you will: lead teams, ensure delivery progress, resolve challenges, and help drive successful outcomes across retail-focused technology initiatives.

• Manages development projects, development teams and application support functions.
• Oversees multiple application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs.
• Monitors and maintains adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis.
• Maximizes staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs.
• Analyzes applications to ensure that all systems that are developed, meet business needs and specifications.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $50,000.00 – $204,490.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
