Design, deploy, and administer Solace messaging infrastructure across cloud environments. Implement event-driven strategies, configure brokers/VPNs/queues, secure and monitor environments, integrate with microservices and external platforms, automate with Terraform/Ansible, troubleshoot messaging performance, provide L3 support, and enable internal teams via training and POCs.
Location: Local to Chicago is preferred. (hybrid/on-site as required)

Must have a technology stack:
Solace Messaging
Cloud (AWS is preferred)
Scripting using Korn Shell Scripts, Perl, etc.
Nice to have a technology stack:
TIBCO, IBM MQ, and IBM ACE
EKS/Kubernetes/OpenShift
AWS certifications on DevOps / SysOps / Architect track preferred.
Roles and responsibilities:
· The qualified candidate will perform engineering, configuration and other administration activities for Solace messaging. The candidate will work as a part of the Middleware Engineering team and need have willingness to learn & support IBM MQ and
IBM ACE.
· This candidate will be required to work well in a team environment. He/she must possess excellent communication skills and should be able to work in a collaborative environment with ease.
· Architect and deploy messaging infrastructure using Solace PubSub+ / Advanced Event Mesh across cloud environments
· Define and implement event-driven strategies, leveraging Solace features like event mesh, topic hierarchies, and dynamic routing.
· Configure Solace components such as brokers, VPNs, queues, topics, and client connections for optimal performance.
· Ensure robust security, access control, and monitoring of Solace environments.
· Collaborate with development teams to integrate Solace with microservices, APIs, and external platforms (Kafka, JMS, MQTT, etc.)
· Troubleshoot complex messaging issues including latency, throughput, and durability concerns.
· Automate setup and monitoring processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible etc.
· Advise on best practices for event modeling, governance, and topic taxonomy.
· Support enablement activities such as training and knowledge transfer for internal engineering and DevOps teams.
· Provide level 3 support including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
· Strong knowledge of scripting using Korn Shell Scripts, Perl etc.
· Platform RedHat Linux.
· Research on product capabilities and conduct POCs for new products/features.
· Quick learner of new technology and guidelines with flexible, positive attitude and team player with independent decision making
