Solutions Architect – Data Analytics

We are looking for an experienced and driven Solutions Architect responsible for defining and guiding the technical implementation of the organization's enterprise data strategy centered on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. In this role, you will design scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that enable analytics, AI, machine learning, and operational reporting. You will serve as a key technical leader, bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution across a hybrid enterprise landscape.

Location: This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Delivers the development of strategic direction and leadership in the development of enterprise-wide solution architecture.
  • Executes design, improvements, and/or execution of architecture from design through completion of products and/or features (e.g., drives solutions performance, quality, etc.).
  • Guides the definition of solution/system architecture and design across multiple products or systems.
  • Ensures the translation of requirements into effective solution architecture and design across products or systems.
  • Participates in cross-architecture reviews across solution sets and ensures upstream and downstream integration requirements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and standards for all architecture solutions and frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers building and consuming architecture solutions.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and ensure automation designs meet security, compliance, and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional business customers to translate business requirements into automated, scalable technical solutions.
  • Monitor environment health, identify failure patterns, and drive continuous improvement across the data ecosystem.
  • Stay ahead of emerging data technologies, tools, and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise IT operations, systems engineering, or infrastructure architecture, including experience designing enterprise-scale solutions spanning multiple applications, data sources, and technology platforms.
  • Deep expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation, puppet, chef for provisioning and configuration management.
  • Proven background in crafting and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Strong experience designing cloud-based data solutions, preferably within Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage/ADLS, Azure networking, identity and access management, Key Vault, and related services.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing an enterprise data platform using Databricks or a comparable modern cloud data platform.
  • Experience designing data architectures that support enterprise BI and analytics, preferably including Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of on-premises infrastructure including Windows and Linux operating systems, networking (routing, load balancers, VPNs), and security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
  • Knowledge of DevOps and agile methodologies with a track record of successfully contributing into software delivery lifecycles.
  • Experience with identity and access management automation, including AD integration and role-based access control provisioning.
  • Proficiency in cost management and optimization strategies for cloud-based capacity workloads.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex environments and deliver actionable automation strategies, with a strong emphasis on execution.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing technical and non-technical collaborators and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Innovative mentality with a willingness to challenge legacy processes and champion modern automation approaches.
  • High adaptability and a continuous learning mentality to keep pace with the constantly evolving automation and cloud landscape.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
