Harbor is seeking a dedicated Procurement Consultant to join our Vendor Governance and Sourcing (VG+S) team. In this role, you will be embedded within a prominent law firm’s UK/ US Finance operation, supporting their global procurement function. Your responsibilities will encompass the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, contract reviews, and vendor management. This position requires a detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  This is a full-time hybrid position that can work out of any of the US client offices including New York City, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Houston, Tampa, Miami, Los Angeles or Silicon Valley.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Procurement Lifecycle Management: Serve as the liaison between internal stakeholders and the procurement team, facilitating requirements gathering and ensuring seamless communication. 
  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, develop sourcing strategies, and manage the Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Invitation to Bid processes. 
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service levels with suppliers. Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. 
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain and build strong relationships with suppliers, monitor performance, and implement improvement plans as necessary. 
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, emerging products, and potential risks. Provide insights to support strategic decision-making. 
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes, implement best practices, and drive efficiencies across the procurement function. 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field. 
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or a consulting environment focused on process improvement and project management. 
  • Functional knowledge of procurement processes and related technologies. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. 
  • Permanent UK work authorization. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience in the legal industry or supporting professional services firms. 
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools. 
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent.
