The role performs primarily non-manual, analytical work directly related to regional business operations and exercises discretion and independent judgment in evaluating alternatives, developing recommendations, and influencing operational and financial decisions. The Specialist translates complex operational and financial data into actionable insights that support business priorities and performance targets. Success requires strong analytical expertise, business judgment, communication skills, and the ability to influence decisions in a complex, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex operational, commercial, and financial data to develop actionable recommendations that influence equipment-planning, positioning, utilization, forecasting, and other day-to-day regional operating decisions.

  • Evaluate equipment flows, utilization patterns, forecast accuracy, capacity requirements, and cost drivers to identify risks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities; assess alternatives and quantify expected operational and financial impact.

  • Monitor and interpret operational and financial KPIs, identify material variances and emerging trends, conduct root-cause analyses, and recommend corrective actions or escalation paths to regional leadership and relevant stakeholders.

  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, analytical models, and management reporting that translate complex data into clear insights for operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making.

  • Support regional planning processes , including budget development, cost forecasting, scenario analysis, monthly performance reviews, and timely submission of data and analyses for global cost-savings and performance-management programs.

  • Independently challenge planning assumptions and execution decisions by comparing viable operational alternatives, assessing risks and dependencies, and communicating the financial and customer-service implications of recommended actions.

  • Serve as a cross-functional analytical partner to Operations, Commercial, Finance, Logistics, and Global Equipment teams; facilitate alignment on priorities, influence decisions through fact-based recommendations, and support execution of approved initiatives.

  • Lead analytical process-improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives that strengthen data quality, governance, reporting consistency, operational controls, and team productivity.

  • Establish and maintain documentation, reporting standards, and analytical best practices to promote transparency, repeatability, and effective decision support across the region.

Qualifications
  • University degree in the field of business administration, operations-/logistics-/or transportation

management, (industrial) engineering, finance, or information technology

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and highlight

    anomalies and exceptions

  • Proven experience in financial controlling and network optimization
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach with a strong drive to implement changes that achieve

    cost-efficiency targets

  • Ability to translate financial data into operational insights by identifying cost drivers and clearly

presenting complex information to a broad range of stakeholders

  • Experience in designing and maintaining cost reports, calculations, and dashboards for both EQ

and non-EQ users across the organization

  • Extensive knowledge of, or strong willingness to learn, end-to-end cost controlling processes—

from operational activities to high-level cost reporting—and the supporting systems across

    organizational layers

  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective alignment with diverse stakeholders across

    multiple departments and organizational levels
