Job Description
- Oversee the development and delivery of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions within the organization.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, HR, IT, and external vendors, to ensure that the SAP HCM system is designed, implemented, and optimized to meet business needs.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and business leaders to drive the successful delivery of HR technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and best practices.
- Own and manage the SAP HCM product backlog and configuration, defining product vision and setting priorities in alignment with business objectives.
- Act as the liaison between business, HR, and development teams to ensure efficient communication and translation of business needs into technical requirements.
- Ensure ongoing system maintenance, including the implementation of support and enhancement packs.
- Lead SAP HCM projects from design through deployment, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to project milestones, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure alignment of project outcomes with business goals, adjusting project plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and ensure that product development is aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and timelines to senior leadership and key stakeholders to maintain transparency.
- Monitor product performance and user feedback to identify areas for system improvement and enhancement. Implement system upgrades, patches, and configurations in collaboration with IT and HR teams.
- Stay current on industry trends, SAP updates, and emerging HR technologies to ensure best practices and innovation.
- Partner with technology teams to ensure that business requirements are developed, validated, and aligned with overall system development goals. Work closely with developers to design and implement RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) for SAP HR.
- Conduct unit and functional testing, collaborating with business partners to achieve consensus on testing outcomes.
- Analyze business needs to develop SAP HR functionality enhancements, improving existing processes and optimizing system performance.
- Oversee and troubleshoot complex interfaces with downstream HR and benefits systems, ensuring smooth operation and issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign degree equivalent), plus eight (8) years of experience in the job offered, as a Business Engagement Lead and/or Product Owner, or in a related occupation.
- The position requires the following skills, which must have been gained through eight (8) years of experience:
- Experience with SAP HCM, including functional expertise across key modules (e.g., Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Payroll, Time Management, Talent Management);
- Experience with product ownership or project management within HR technology or SAP environments;
- Experience with HR business processes and experience translating business needs into technical requirements;
- Experience with Agile or other software development methodologies;
- Experience with SAP process and forms, logical database reports, and QA testing tools such as Worksoft, Selenium, HP ALM and JIRA.
