Job Description
The Senior Buyer, External Manufacturing will report into the Associate Director, External Manufacturing NA Procurement and interact closely with the cross functional Business Unit teams and Global Procurement Teams.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ~$100 MM USD of spend for Kraft Heinz within the North American Zone
  • Utilize strategic sourcing process including market and industry analysis, supplier research and review, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing events, analysis, negotiations, contracting and implementation
  • Create and foster effective supplier relationships & performance accountability including conducting business reviews and ensuring that monthly service targets are achieved.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers ensuring the most optimal terms and conditions while never compromising service or quality
  • Actively monitor and manage spend area P&L including creating the annual operating plan & submitting periodic forecast updates.
  • Champion the total cost of assigned category by identifying and implementing novel and creative means for reducing costs, improving quality, or otherwise improving total value for money.
  • Ensure the demand of required volumes for all EM sites are secured and accounted for, including future growth considerations
  • Ensure supply of materials and contingency plans to meet business needs by identifying potential areas of risk, recommending proposed solutions, and executing once aligned with necessary stakeholders.
  • Enable effective Supplier Performance Management through operational and business reviews.
  • Identify and source External Manufactures to help grow external portfolio and drive all Procurement activity from initial scoping though launch.
  • Collaborate with cross-functionals to establish optimal processes for repack business development and commercialization across Kraft Heinz business units and portfolios
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the repack portfolio to optimize network costs.
  • Collaborate, develop and implement an end-to-end category strategy focusing on optimizing quality, cost, service within the network to enable innovation and sales.


Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience in Procurement (e.g., External Manufacturing, Indirect, CAPEX, Ingredients, or Packaging)
  • Excellent analytical skills for financial assessments and issue identification, along with flexible thinking to adapt to changing environments.
  • Strong situational and diagnostic thinker with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Effective negotiator and ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong Planning and Execution skills.
  • Experience working in diverse teams and matrix organizations
  • Ability to navigate across multiple stakeholders to effect change and drive improvement
  • Effective at establishing trust and building effective business relationships and getting things done through others.
  • Organizational Agility - knows how to get things done both through formal and informal channels.
  • Priority Setting - Spends his/ her time and the time of others on what's most important. Eliminates roadblocks and creates focus.
  • Expert in Excel and PowerPoint

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$88,000.00 - $110,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
