The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in DevOps and automation coupled with excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and translate business requirements into scalable and efficient solutions , and to implement DevOps culture and improve developer experience. Working within a team environment, the SCE participates directly in solution creation, providing hands-on support as well as operational support and training. This individual must be creative, client focused, solutions-driven, organized, and can thrive in a dynamic environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and solutions
- Work in an Agile framework to identify and automate solutions that result in enhanced developer experience and increased developer productivity.
- Provide Domain expertise in DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods and practices in GCP cloud.
- Maintaining and upgrading the deployment platforms as well as system infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or similar tools.
- Support inbound calls/emails, maintaining tickets within the issue tracking application related to Infrastructure Support
- Cross train and mentor other team members to facilitate coverage.
- Maintaining and upgrading CI/CD pipelines to enable development teams to go faster with high quality and robust security posture.
- Understand and adhere to organization's architectural principles, patterns, and guidelines to ensure optimal solution development and implementation.
- Collaborate with architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and strategies.
- Effectively utilize AI c oding assistants to accelerate developer productivity.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture and technology innovation.
- Contribute towards defining and establish ing benchmarks, metrics, and quality measures.
- Focus on the implementation of cost-effective, extensible, and supportable solutions.
- Support the stability and resiliency of all relevant production processes, as well as instituting a robust support model addressing process and application failures.
- Leverage AI as a tool, not a replacement - Candidates are expected to understand that AI is a power productivity multiplier while maintaining engineering judgment, and ensuring AI generated code meets quality standards
- Drive adoption of AI-powered coding assistants (Copilot, Claude, etc.) to enhance team productivity, automate workflows, and mentor others in best practices for AI tool integration.
- Maintaining and upgrading observability, alerting and dashboard platforms using GCP tools and/or enterprise tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in software or solution architecture roles, with a focus on designing and implementing complex, enterprise-level solutions using cloud platform
- Expertise in Terraform HCL + Terraform CDK is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and architectural frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery patterns, Cloud foundational patterns, Observability patterns, Developer experience patterns.
- Related certifications are a plus ( e.g. GCP Cloud Engineer)
- Practical AI experience required - Comfortable using tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude for prototyping, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
