PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $106,600.00-$130,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $82,900.00 - $154,000.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, CA, VA, NC, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.  

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE 

As a Sr. Data Analyst focused on Debit Analytics, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming how BECU understands, measures, and enhances the member experience through debit products. You’ll take ownership of a critical analytics function, helping shape the future of debit reporting, uncover meaningful insights, and influence strategic business decisions. Your expertise will help create smarter products, stronger member engagement, and more data-driven outcomes across the organization. WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Lead Analytics Initiatives: You’ll lead end-to-end data analysis projects supporting divisional priorities while contributing to broader enterprise initiatives that influence business performance and member outcomes.  

  • Identify Opportunities Through Data: You’ll leverage advanced analytical techniques, industry research, and business knowledge to uncover trends, opportunities, and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.  

  • Drive Business Performance: You’ll partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue growth, operational efficiency, and enhanced member experiences. 

  • Build Best-in-Class Reporting: You’ll take ownership of the debit analytics ecosystem, redesigning and modernizing reporting capabilities to create scalable, actionable insights for product leaders and business partners.  

  • Develop Actionable Insights: You’ll transform complex data from multiple sources into meaningful business intelligence that supports product innovation and strategic planning. 

  • Create Executive-Level Dashboards: You’ll design scalable dashboards and reporting solutions that enable teams across the organization to make informed decisions quickly and confidently.  

  • Tell Compelling Data Stories: You’ll translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations through thoughtful visualizations, presentations, and stakeholder communications. 

  • Lead A/B Testing Efforts: You’ll guide teams through experimental design, metric selection, test evaluation, and interpretation of results, helping stakeholders make data-informed decisions.  

  • Improve Measurement Strategies: You’ll continuously refine KPIs, reporting methodologies, and performance measurement practices to improve business visibility. 

  • Design Scalable Data Solutions: You’ll create reusable transformation logic and scalable datasets using Snowflake best practices, advanced SQL techniques, and modern cloud technologies.  

  • Enhance Data Infrastructure: You’ll identify opportunities to improve performance, optimize data workflows, and advocate for enhancements that strengthen analytical capabilities. 

  • Mentor and Develop Others: You’ll share knowledge, coach fellow analysts, and contribute to the growth of BECU’s analytics community through mentorship and best-practice development.  

  • Establish Analytical Standards: You’ll help define documentation standards, promote reproducibility, and drive consistency across analytical projects.  

  • Present to Leadership: You’ll communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership audiences, helping shape business direction through data.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience required. 

  • 5+ years of progressive data analytics experience, including advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and data preparation tools (e.g., Alteryx), expertise in data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI, and hands-on experience working with cloud-based data environments including Snowflake and Azure. 

  • Experience with analytical and problem-solving capabilities, a strong understanding of KPI development and performance measurement, advanced knowledge of mathematical concepts and applied analytics, intermediate statistical knowledge. 

  • Project management, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
