Summary: Lead and drive the critical thinking, team leadership, and hands-on product management expertise to continuously improve our partner and client experience product offerings at Onbe as the Senior Director, Product Management. You will collaborate with different teams to meet market demands, improve customer experience, and align with our business goals.

This role is a hybrid role that will work onsite 1 day per week at our Buffalo Grove, IL location. Occasional travel may be required as part of this position. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Vision and Strategy:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap.

- Stay updated with industry trends, market demands, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative ideas and actionable plans.

- Establish success metrics that align with company and business goals.

TEAM LEADERSHIP
- Lead and mentor a team of product managers and product owners.

- Foster a strong culture of teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement.

- Drive the maturity of product management and Agile practices within the organization.

- Recruit and retain high-potential product management talent.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
- Work with UX design, engineering, and other business partners to deliver high-quality products. Engage with marketing, sales, and account management to refine value propositions, target markets, and go-to-market strategies.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business unit objectives and drive new growth opportunities.

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT
- Engage directly with existing and potential customers to ensure products meet their needs.

- Present the product's long-term vision and strategy to senior leadership and collect their feedback.

- Drive customer advisory councils and evangelize our roadmap with customers and partners.

MARKET AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
- Conduct market research and leverage competitive knowledge to inform product strategy.

- Develop and manage product life cycle from ideation to market implementation.

- Evaluate and select vendors to improve product portfolios.

- Perform regular product reviews and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant subject area.

- 7+ years of product management experience, preferably in payments, or related fields.

- 5 years of leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.

- Proven success in driving product strategy and product releases.

- Experience with Agile practices and iterative development methodologies.

PREFERRED
- MBA or equivalent experience.

- Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.

- Strong organizational and analytical abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Deep domain knowledge of customer engagement processes in B2B and B2B2C commerce.

- Knowledge of payments, FinTech, and treasury management helpful.

The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $155,430 to $199,500 with eligibility for bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of proven experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
