Job Description

· Principal Solution Engineer is responsible for understanding their area of responsibility from end-to-end, including infrastructure, processes, configurations, documentation, and business requirements.

· The Principal Solution Engineer will be accountable for the design and integration of new systems solution into the existing environment.

· This highly integrated and very technical position requires the incumbent to work in a team and individual work setting contributing to all aspects of system integration including Business process and requirements, application requirements,

· Architecture design, technical requirements analysis, design review, solution engineering, gap analysis, testing, implementation, validation, and transition to support.

· Principal Solution Engineers should be self-starters and have the ability to work independently with little supervision.

Tasks to be Performed:

· Align with Project Managers and Solution Integrators to gather and analyze data to establish system and other technical requirements for projects within their area of responsibility.

· Translate business requirements to functional requirements

· Forecast engineering resource requirements for projects

· Work with architecture and engineering resources to research, evaluate, and select systems/equipment/technologies based upon business needs

· Draft technical designs and systems deployment plans

· Interface with various teams such as project, management, architecture, applications, engineering, deployment, and operations on a regular basis

· Develop and conduct infrastructure testing plans and validation based upon system recommendations

· Ensure compliance with standardized engineering processes, systems, and tools.

Skillset Details:

· Technical skills desired - Expertise in Excel formulas, Knowledge of Desktop packaging and profiles, Windows 10, Office 365 is preferred.

· Knowledge of Spotfire and AppDNA desired, Project management.

· 10+ years of experience in technology

· Bachelor's degree

· Systems Engineering experience and certification in one or more: network, server, open systems, virtualization, security, end user, mobility

· Technology experience in one or more: Data Center, Airports, Contact Centers, Inflight, E-Commerce, Customer Experience, Revenue Management, Network Planning

· ITIL

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to solve complex problems

· Work as a member of a team

· Ability to meet tight deadlines

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to decipher highly technical data

· Ability to multi-task in an ever-changing work environment

Skill Level:

Senior Level (greater than 8 yrs. exp.)
