Role/Department: Sr HR Business Partner/HR Consulting

Reporting to the Head of HR Consulting for COO Business Services, Technology, and Chief Data & Analytics Office, this key leadership role serves as the primary HR relationship manager and advisor to senior leaders of assigned business unit(s) and ensures effective coordination between business clients, HR Consulting Function and HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) to strategically and proactively deliver HR solutions. This is an individual contributor role but requires significant experience at managing in a matrixed environment and directing work of HR Business Partners in support of assigned business units.   

The key responsibilities of the role include:
· Overall accountability to drive talent strategy and drive linkage of enterprise HR strategy to business strategy; Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve capabilities, processes or services
· Executive coach to senior leaders; proactively advise executives on talent risks and tradeoffs and influence workforce decisions
· Lead workforce planning and capability strategy for assigned business units
· Design/redesign org structures and lead restructuring/transformations
· Foster consistent global adherence to standards and policies and act as the integrator between the business and HR COEs
· Lead through Rewards, Benefits, and Performance Management processes and align to enterprise standards
· Facilitate enterprise talent reviews/succession for key roles
· Escalation owner for highest risk ER/ethics cases
· Sponsor enterprise change and ensure coherence across business units
· Develop/refine HR Consulting function capability through leading of HR initiatives and continuous process improvements. 

Skills/Qualifications:
· Minimum 10 years of relevant proven work experience within HR, with experience as senior level HR business partner/consultant; Experience supporting global operations organizations desired
· Proven leadership driving organizational effectiveness, including workforce planning, organization design, and change management; significant experience planning and executing workforce growth, reductions, and migrations
· Expert in utilizing data to drive business decisions
· Domain expertise in HR policy and process
· Exceptional relationship management and communication skills
· Deep financial acumen and innovative thinking
· Strategic risk assessment and management
· Expert at influencing and conflict resolution
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
· Experience in Workday environment is preferred

Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)

Salary Range:

$137,400 - 233,600 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
