The Role
  • Serve as a senior program leader responsible for driving large, complex, cross‑functional technology programs from strategy through delivery.
  • Collaborate with executive sponsors and senior leadership to define program objectives, success measures, scope, resourcing needs, budgets, organizational change management needs, and governance structures.
  • Own end‑to‑end program execution, including steering committee leadership, dependencies, risk and issue management, OCM, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Build relationships across Morningstar's global technology and business teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and informed decision‑making throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Lead programs involving multi‑system integration, enterprise‑wide tooling, infrastructure modernization, employee experience enhancements, and/or corporate technology transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Corporate Systems project portfolio in partnership with the Corporate Systems technology leader and conduct monthly portfolio reviews.
  • Manage a small team of project managers dedicated to the Corporate Systems portfolio; provide leadership and career development opportunities for your team.
  • Lead enterprise technology programs that span multiple projects, teams, and business units.
  • Define program scope, roadmap, KPIs, governance model, OCM needs, and resource plans in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Lead program steering committees; deliver updates on financials, adoption metrics, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and progress.
  • Manage program interdependencies, ensuring teams across engineering, infrastructure, operations, corporate systems, and security remain aligned.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contractual obligations, and program‑level budgets.
  • Ensure consistent program execution using standardized frameworks, templates, and communication tools.
  • Oversee program‑level risk identification, mitigation, escalation, and issue resolution.
  • Partner with implementation teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Provide clarity and alignment by translating complex technical and business details into clear messaging for executive, stakeholder, and team audiences.
  • Support project intake, prioritization, and resource allocation for initiatives within the program.
  • Lead post‑implementation program reviews and operational handoffs to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of program and/or senior project management experience delivering complex cross‑functional technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success leading programs involving enterprise systems, infrastructure, integrations, or employee experience platforms.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across matrixed global teams.
  • Strong experience with vendor management, budgeting, and contract oversight.
  • PMP and/or ITIL preferred (not required).
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to executives and lead cross‑functional discussions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and program/project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive outcomes with an ownership mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and dependencies at scale.

Total Cash Compensation Range
$121,400.00 - 218,525.00 USD Annual
Inclusive of annual base salary and target incentive
