Summary
The Lifecycle & CRM Marketing Lead will own and optimize Topstep’s end-to-end customer engagement strategy, driving meaningful relationships that increase trial conversion, retention, and lifetime value. Reporting to the Senior Director, Growth, Lifecycle, & Performance, this role will lead lifecycle programs across email, in-app, and SMS channels, translating behavioral insights into personalized customer journeys that fuel growth and loyalty. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with executional excellence, is data-driven yet
creative, and has a deep understanding of CRM automation, segmentation, and lifecycle strategy. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Brand, Creative, and Data teams to deliver measurable business impact across the customer funnel.

Key Responsibilities

Lifecycle Marketing & CRM:
● Design and execute personalized lifecycle programs across email, SMS, and in-app channels focused on onboarding, engagement, retention, and win-back.
● Develop segmentation strategies and behavioral triggers to deliver targeted communications that drive user activation and product adoption.
● Partner with Product and Data teams to build automated workflows and improve in-platform messaging consistency, and support trading success and habit development.
● Create dashboards and reporting cadences to monitor lifecycle KPIs such as conversion, retention, churn, and LTV.
● Continuously test, measure, and optimize content, frequency, and timing to maximize performance and customer satisfaction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
● Collaborate with Brand and Creative teams to ensure lifecycle communications align with Topstep’s voice and campaign goals.
● Partner closely with Growth Marketing and Media to align acquisition and retention initiatives for full-funnel optimization.
● Support the broader CRM infrastructure, including integrations with marketing automation, analytics, and data systems.

Data & Insights:
● Use analytics tools to derive actionable insights from lifecycle data and inform testing roadmaps.
● Translate findings into strategies that improve engagement, reduce churn, and increase loyalty.
● Partner with Data Science and Engineering to enhance segmentation logic and predictive models.

Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
● 5+ years of experience in CRM, Lifecycle, or Retention Marketing within a B2C, fintech, or subscription-based environment.
● Proven success designing and optimizing automated lifecycle journeys that drive measurable results.
● Hands-on experience with email marketing automation tools (e.g., Braze, Iterable, HubSpot) and CRM systems.
● Strong understanding of audience segmentation, data triggers, and personalization strategies.
● Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, or BI platforms.
● Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
● A balance of creative problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.

New Hire Base Salary Range
● Compensation: $150,000-$180,000
● Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
● The compensation offered will take into account internal compensation structure and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
