The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and successfully delivering marketing initiatives within defined scope and timelines—ensuring alignment with Baylor Genetics’ strategic goals. This role manages multiple fast-moving projects at once, applying phased approaches, stage-gated workflows, and proactive stakeholder communication to keep teams aligned and projects on track.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive leader with proven expertise in marketing project management, digital tools, and integrated campaign execution. They thrive in dynamic environments, anticipate challenges, and excel at fostering alignment across cross-functional teams. This role will report to the Sr. Director, Marketing Ops, in Corporate Marketing & Communications
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
· Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, or Scrum certification (preferred).
· Advanced degree or relevant certifications in Marketing, Business Administration, or Brand Management a plus.
Experience
· 8+ years of proven experience managing marketing projects from inception to completion, ideally in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences.
· Demonstrated success in delivering multiple concurrent projects using phased and stage-gated approaches.
· Expertise in project management platforms such as JIRA, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Lists.
· Know how of advancing JIRA implementation with utilization and feasibility metrics.
· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and sequence work effectively.
· Hands-on experience with marketing technology and creative tools, including Canva, Figma, WordPress CMS, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Enterprise Suite, SEO platforms, and advertising technology stacks.
· Experience in integrated marketing campaigns, SEO-driven website optimization, campaign launches, and analytics reporting.
· Proven ability to maintain proactive, transparent communication with stakeholders at all stages of a project.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
· Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of marketing projects across digital, print, events, and integrated omnichannel efforts.
· Define and manage project scope, deliverables, and milestones using phased and stage-gated workflows.
· Create and manage detailed project timelines, ensuring all stakeholders are updated regularly.
Campaign Coordination
· Manage integrated campaigns across paid, earned, and owned channels to meet brand awareness and engagement objectives.
· Oversee SEO audits, enhancements, website content launches, and marketing automation workflows.
· Ensure campaign assets meet brand standards, regulatory requirements, and creative quality benchmarks.
Technology & Process Optimization
· Serve as a point of expertise for marketing platforms including Canva, Figma, WordPress CMS, and adtech stacks.
· Implement best practices for collaborative asset creation, review, and approval. Create playbooks and toolkits to scale.
· Leverage performance data to refine processes and improve speed to market.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
· Over-communicate progress, scope changes, and risks to ensure alignment with internal teams and leadership.
· Coordinate with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to meet project deliverables.
· Produce clear, timely updates and post-project summaries to capture lessons learned and share best practices.
