The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,800.00 to $201,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Understand, apply and guide divisional PX and Business Partners on Pfizer's Global Compensation strategy and positioning, policies, practices, processes and tools.
- Provide consultation and guidance to divisional PX and Business Partners about compensation-related matters (e.g., pay decisions, policy & guideline interpretation, competitive pay positioning, retention strategies, job evaluations, job offers, reward & recognition programs, etc.) and ensure all compensation needs for our R&D organization are met.
- Through strong partnership with PX and line leaders, proactively identify compensation, retention and recognition issues that may affect critically important colleague cohorts while ensuring alignment with broader talent management initiatives.
- Facilitate annual compensation cycle process (base salary, bonus and long-term incentives) including development of process guidelines and analysis of line recommendations for Senior Leadership review.
- Analyze complex external and internal data sets to recommend practical options to address compensation-related issues in consideration of evolving business needs, Pfizer's Compensation guidelines & governance, and internal business equity.
- Analyze compensation program effectiveness and recommend improvements to support business goals and colleague engagement.
- Lead or participate in compensation-related initiatives (e.g. enterprise-wide project teams, acquisition-related support, customer group-based projects) as required.
- Collaborate with other Divisional Compensation Leads to ensure alignment of approaches and solutions that address the needs of all global organizations.
- Partner with Regional Compensation Leads to understand global issues and address international compensation-related issues and projects.
- Monitor and apply compensation trends and practices in the Bio-pharmaceutical Industry, to keep the organization at the forefront of compensation innovation.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree required in a related discipline
- Six (6) or more years of relevant experience with a minimum of 3+ years experience in progressively more responsible compensation assignments with a focus on the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, tools, processes and methodologies
- Strong analytical & quantitative skills and experience with compensation data analysis and modeling, including but not limited to advanced Excel capability, and strong interest in building and applying AI capabilities
- Proven ability to develop and execute compensation programs and processes that drive business results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish credibility, influence and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage projects requiring multiple stakeholders with differing perspectives
- Ability to proactively identify issues / considerations and provide strategic consultation to mitigate potential issues
- Strong capability to operate effectively in multi-cultural/international environments
- Customer-focused and immediately responsive to business and PX leadership
- Ability to independently support and address client needs with limited supervision
- Ability to manage in ambiguity
