ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Senior Manager, Product Execution & Delivery is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling the Delivery Execution Operating Model and Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) across the organization. This role establishes the frameworks, processes, governance standards, and tooling infrastructure that enable product teams to deliver predictably and effectively while providing leadership with visibility and insights for portfolio decision-making. This role partners with executive leadership, Product Management, Engineering, and Program Management to create scalable operating models, drive organizational adoption through structured change management, and enable data-driven portfolio optimization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Agile methodologies, process design, Jira/Confluence administration, governance frameworks, and change management with a proven track record of designing and rolling out operating models at scale.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive Delivery Operating Model that scales across all product domains and teams, balancing agile principles with organizational governance needs.

  • Establish governance frameworks including Planning Framework (annual, quarterly, sprint), Prioritization Framework, Estimation Framework, and Reporting Framework with detailed processes, roles, and decision rights.

  • Implement and manage Product Development Lifecycle tooling (Jira, Confluence, reporting platforms), including workflows, custom fields, automation, and configurations that operationalize the Delivery Operating Model.

  • Create detailed rollout and adoption plans for new frameworks and processes, including communication strategies, stakeholder mapping, training curricula, pilot approaches, success metrics, and feedback loops.

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training and coaching programs on frameworks, tools, and processes for teams, Product Managers, Engineering, and leadership to drive sustained adoption.

  • Design and implement portfolio-level metrics and dashboards that provide leadership with real-time visibility into delivery health, capacity, risks, and business outcomes.

  • Develop detailed process documentation, playbooks, and training materials that enable teams to work consistently and effectively across the organization.

  • Assist leadership in prioritizing initiatives using data-driven frameworks and portfolio optimization techniques; enable transparent trade-off conversations using data and metrics.

  • Build organizational capability through hands-on coaching, office hours, and enablement materials; promote professional development of Product Operations team members.

  • Drive measurable improvements in delivery predictability, process consistency, data quality, and team productivity through continuous improvement practices.

  • Translate operational metrics into business insights for executive leadership; design reporting frameworks that balance detail and simplicity.

  • Ensure tools and frameworks enable teams rather than create overhead; continuously optimize based on team feedback, metrics, and organizational evolution.

  • Act as a change agent to drive adoption of new operating models across the organization through enablement, not mandates.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required; advanced degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, program management, or delivery excellence roles with 3+ years in a leadership role focused on Product Operations, Process Improvement, Agile Transformation, or Delivery Excellence functions.

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing operating models or delivery frameworks at scale across multiple teams and domains.

  • Demonstrated experience creating detailed rollout and adoption plans for organizational process changes with measurable results.

  • Deep expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale) and how to tailor frameworks to organizational context.

  • Expert-level proficiency with Jira and Confluence administration, including workflows, automation, custom fields, and Advanced Roadmaps/Plan View.

  • Experience with portfolio management tools and techniques (portfolio Kanban, OKRs, strategic themes, WSJF, RICE).

  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Jira Administrator, PMP, or Change Management certifications strongly preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Process-oriented with strategic vision; ability to design operating models at the conceptual level and translate them into detailed operational processes.

  • End-to-end thinking; ability to see the full lifecycle from framework design through process documentation, socialization, rollout, adoption, measurement, and iteration.

  • Strong change management capabilities with proven ability to drive organizational change through structured communication, training, and enablement programs.

  • Exceptional systems thinking; ability to design frameworks that connect planning, execution, governance, and reporting into a coherent whole.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Jira and Confluence administration, automation, reporting, and portfolio management capabilities.

  • Deep expertise in program and portfolio management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Waterfall, Hybrid) and governance design.

  • Data-driven mindset; ability to design metrics and dashboards that drive desired behaviors and provide actionable insights for teams and executives.

  • Outstanding communication skills; ability to present portfolio metrics to executives while coaching teams on frameworks and processes.

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence without direct authority; ability to build buy-in across skeptical audiences.

  • Excellent leadership and organizational development abilities; servant leadership approach that earns credibility through partnership and results.

  • Strong decision-making skills; ability to balance standardization with flexibility and make pragmatic trade-offs.

  • Ability to handle complexity and ambiguity; comfortable working in a matrixed organization with competing priorities.

  • Capable of creating detailed process documentation, playbooks, and training materials that balance depth with usability.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and tactically; comfortable moving between high-level vision and operational detail.

  • Proficiency in enterprise tooling ecosystems (Jira, Confluence, GitHub, reporting platforms, CI/CD tools).
