Job Summary

The key responsibilities of this position include development of network designs, strategic plans, standards, roadmaps, and other key technology plans for deployment of secure, high-performance networking solutions across the enterprise. The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for understanding and interpreting global business and technical requirements in order to develop advanced network solutions. This role does not have any direct reports.
Salary Range:$100,000-$120,000
• Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 6% of the base salary (include only if applicable to the grade level)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate network architectures, roadmaps, design standards, and strategy plans; participate in RFP’s and development of tactical and operational plans.
  • Provide a unified, multi-disciplinary technology framework to guide the evolution of the global networks. 
  • Design complex new technology solutions to be deployed into the production network.
  • Research and recommend next generation network technology, products, & services.
  • Design customized solutions as required to support Business objectives.
  • Consult peer groups in the development of project plans & architectures.
  • Provide mentorship to architects and engineers in the team, fostering their development and sense of ownership to product critical technology solutions.
  • Meet with Business Unit and Security technologists to understand technical strategy, gather requirements, and translate requirements into technology solutions. 
  • Arrange information effectively into solution alternatives and present them to leadership and the Business Units. This requires accounting for multiple aspects of design solutions including technical, cost/financial, process, security and ongoing support. 
  • Mentor technology team developing a balance of business and technology skills.
  • Identify gaps and areas of improvement to optimize business operations and the customer experience.
  • Monitor changes and advancements in technology to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency, effectiveness and competitive advantage.

  • Building and supporting enterprise WLAN, LAN, WAN and remote access solutions in a variety of topologies. 
  • Developing and communicating large-scale standards, procedures, and other reference documentation to guide technical teams throughout an enterprise.
  • Building network infrastructure in current-era data centers.
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree preferably in technical field
  • One or more advanced certifications in Networking, Cloud and Security such as CISSP, CCIE, CSSLP, etc., or equivalent networking certifications or education
  • 8+ years of experience  preferred in a multinational enterprise environment that operates 24/7 services to a multitude of customers and business units.
  •  Experience with progression of responsibilities spanning operations, implementation, design, and architecture.
  • Technical leadership experience in a large, complex global enterprise 
  • Architecting world-class, large-scale data networks for global enterprises that maximize security, performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness required. 
  • Expertise in Cloud, Security and Networking technology domains.
  • Experience with multiple vendor switching, routing, and security products (i.e. not just Cisco). 
  • Solid hands-on experience. 
  • Ability to communicate appropriately at multiple levels of technicality.
  • Industry-level knowledge of technologies, solutions, and vendors.
  • Experience in management or deployment of SD-WAN and/or SASE environments.
  • Cloud service provider networking experience.
  • Experience with advanced routing & switching; network segmentation; data center network architecture.
  • Experience with automation, virtualization and orchestration.
  • Other IT infrastructure architecture skills a plus
  • Must have excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be flexible and customer service focused.
  • Must be detailed and action orientated
  • This role requires international travel. (15%)
