Job Summary:

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead technical tasks within network initiatives while ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN).
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
  • Perform root cause analysis for network outages and implement preventive measures.
  • Act as remote hands for all IT activities in Reston, VA Data Center.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networks.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Fortinet SD-WAN design and deployment.
    • Aruba LAN, WiFi design and deployment.
    • Data Center network operations, and routing/switching (Cisco/Aruba/Fortinet).
    • Cloud connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), firewall configurations, and network monitoring tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from design through implementation.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues and implementing solutions,
  • Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4–7, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), CCNP, or AWS/Azure networking certifications preferred.

Work Environment

  • Around 25% travel within US.
  • Require on-call rotation for critical issues

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $100,000.00.
