This is not a maintenance role—it is a mission to build the next generation of WEX’s financial architecture. You will be instrumental in a multi-year, company-wide modernization effort, moving us from legacy general ledger and subledger systems to a unified, real-time platform. We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager to own the vision and execution for transforming our core financial ledger systems, including the General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Receivable (AR) subledgers. This role will define the product roadmap, leverage advanced AI/ML capabilities for predictive finance, and directly influence how our entire Finance and FP&A organization operates globally.

What you’ll do:
Lead the end-to-end transformation of our core financial infrastructure, unifying the General Ledger and AR subledgers to support a single source of truth for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and predictive financial modeling.
Drive the implementation of innovative AI/ML models to introduce predictive finance capabilities, revolutionizing workflows and accelerating financial close processes for Finance and FP&A.
Define the next-generation user experience for Finance and FP&A teams, ensuring real-time access to detailed financial data and enabling enhanced forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Deeply understand WEX and our employee needs to define and prioritize the problems to be solved and inspire the broader team
Partner with scrum teams to align on mission and deliver great results iteratively
Leverage qualitative and quantitative data, including AI-powered analytics, to measure results, inform roadmaps and achieve benefit, adoption and financial results
Cross collaborate with product management, analytics, UX, sales/commercial on product research to come up with better and disruptive solutions
Engage in technical discussions with senior engineers to define product strategy, create value, and impact the direction of products and the business
Be a trusted partner that can present effectively to high-level stakeholders, set clear priorities and direction, and build bridges across groups

What you’ll bring:
6 - 10 years of specific product management leader experience (mandatory), ideally with an emphasis on core financial systems (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable) and data systems.
Proven track record of end-to-end AI/ML product delivery, including defining use cases, managing data science models, and successfully integrating AI capabilities into internal systems.
Demonstrated experience developing great products and processes, including customer driven innovation, rapid experimentation, prototyping, customer journey mapping, and measuring outcomes. Preferably in the area of financial data models, accounting principles (e.g., accruals, revenue recognition), and how technology drives efficiency in the month-end close process.
Proven track record of leading multiple highly successful cross-functional teams and delivering different initiatives in parallel that drive value across an organization
Comfort navigating through ambiguity and changing business environments
Strong ability to think through unifying elements and common denominators; develop efficient and effective workflows and interfaces with a focus on automation leveraging AI capabilities
Data driven approach for everything you do; understanding your customers, roadmap prioritization and measuring success
Ability to work in an agile fashion with your teams; go broad or narrow; build, test, iterate
Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree is a plus
