One of Pine's portfolio companies, Strategic Information Group (SIG), helps manufacturers around the world run better. For over 30 years, they've been the go-to partner for companies in life sciences, automotive, food and beverage, and industrial sectors that need ERP platforms built for complexity — delivering deep expertise in QAD and Oracle NetSuite. Their consultants don't just implement software; they understand regulated environments, global supply chains, and the operational rigor it takes to keep production moving. SIG is growing, and they're looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as the primary technical and functional authority for QAD's financial solutions across the sales and pre-sales cycle.

This is a full-time remote role reporting to the Vice President of Business Solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture engagements, designing comprehensive QAD ERP solutions that address enterprise-wide business requirements — with a primary focus on financial processes including General Ledger, AP/AR, Cost Management, Financial Consolidation, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Serve as the primary financial SME within the solutions architecture practice, providing deep functional guidance on QAD financial modules while applying working knowledge of QAD's operations modules to contextualize solutions within the client's broader environment.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored software demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements, and solution presentations that clearly articulate business value and differentiate QAD's capabilities.
  • Guide prospects through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles as a trusted advisor — bridging technical architecture and business strategy to accelerate decision-making.
  • Lead client discovery with a focus on financial requirements, while identifying and documenting operational dependencies (manufacturing, distribution) that intersect with financial processes.
  • Translate findings into scalable solution designs aligned with QAD's product roadmap and SIG intellectual property.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and the broader Business Solutions team to develop winning proposals, Statements of Work, and client-specific value propositions.
  • Serve as a liaison between sales, solutions architecture, and consulting delivery teams to ensure accurate knowledge transfer, realistic effort estimates, and clear alignment on scope.
  • Conduct assessments of clients' existing financial systems and processes, identifying improvement opportunities and recommending QAD solutions, third-party integrations, or SIG IP to address gaps.
  • Position and articulate a compelling roadmap for continued use of QAD financial and complementary solutions, including upgrades, new modules, and partner solutions.
  • Partner with the service delivery team post-sale to ensure thorough requirements and design knowledge transfer, setting engagements up for successful implementation.
  • Contribute to reusable assets — demo scripts, solution templates, best-practice documentation — to elevate the broader solutions team.
  • Participate in industry events, user groups, and trade shows to represent SIG and expand market presence.
  • Stay current with ERP and financial technology trends through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Achieve assigned pre-sales contribution targets and support the team in meeting overall revenue goals.

What They're Looking For

    Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in ERP solution architecture, pre-sales, consulting, or a combination thereof, with a strong focus on financial processes and systems.
  • Deep functional expertise in ERP financial modules (QAD preferred), including General Ledger, Cost Accounting, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, and Multi-Currency/Multi-Entity management.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect and present integrated enterprise solutions with finance as the primary domain, incorporating QAD's manufacturing and distribution capabilities where relevant.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills — able to engage credibly with CFOs, Controllers, VPs of Finance, and other C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly map process improvement opportunities to technology solutions.
  • Experience in Life Sciences, Automotive, or Industrial Manufacturing verticals is strongly preferred.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple concurrent engagements with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Strong collaborative skills with a track record of working effectively across sales, delivery, and product teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience with QAD Adaptive ERP (WebUI) and familiarity with QAD's product roadmap.
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional finance certification.
  • Background in financial systems implementation, project management, or business process re-engineering.
  • Experience delivering software demonstrations and facilitating discovery workshops.
  • Familiarity with SIG IP solutions and/or relevant third-party financial applications that complement QAD.
  • Experience with integration architecture between ERP financial modules and external reporting, tax, or treasury systems.
  • Working familiarity with QAD operational modules (Manufacturing and Distribution) sufficient to engage confidently in broader ERP conversations.
