Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Senior Sales Development Representative to help grow our Clinical Diagnostics Services business and nurture enduring relationships with important customers.
How you will make an impact:Support growth of Clinical Diagnostics Services by generating and qualifying leads for market share.
What will you do?
- Identify potential new customers through lead generation and qualification.
- Lead the negotiation process to close new account business, ensuring effective implementation of business opportunities, including pricing and volume.
- Build long-term, positive relationships with customers to generate new business opportunities from existing accounts and IVD market segments.
- Take part in Commercial Operating mechanisms to track progress towards meeting sales goals.
- Promote advanced product technology and capability with customers.
- Support in the development of product positioning, value propositions, and key messaging to be used in our value proposition.
- Perform regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitate communication with customers to ensure their happiness and identify new potential needs.
- Coordinate workshops and site visits targeting new customers.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy, identifying opportunities for growth through product positioning and differentiation.
- Provide support to BUs with market/competitive analysis and product strategy to ensure a clear and differentiated portfolio of products and services.
- Collaborate with Strategic Key Account Managers to bring to bear standard methodologies and develop strategies for reaching sales targets.
- Work with global and cross-functional matrix teams.
- Perform monthly pipeline reviews.
How will you get here?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a scientific focus such as Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is required.
- 6+ years of relevant sales or key account management experience is required, preferably within the IVD or related life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of developing and championing customer-focused solutions with a solid understanding of technical matters, product development processes, regulatory frameworks, and requirements.
- Strong communication skills in front of internal and external audiences, with the ability to counsel, negotiate, and formally present proposals and/or technical solutions.
- Demonstrated success in working in a global, matrixed environment with the ability to lead and influence others without direct authority.
- Demonstrate business insight in analyzing performance indicators, evaluating opportunities, and negotiating contracts in business partnerships.
- Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc.).
- Willingness to travel up to 20-30%, as required (and depending on location).
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $92,900.00–$153,350.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
