Position Overview

The Senior Sales Training & Enablement Specialist helps bring learning to life for our Sales Leaders and independent agents. This role is all about building the knowledge, skills, and confidence people need to succeed, whether that means helping a new agent get off to a strong start, strengthening sales capabilities, or making products and business strategies easier to understand and put into practice. Working closely with partners across Sales, Marketing, and the organization, this role turns complex information and business priorities into practical, engaging training and resources people can use. Just as importantly, this role listens, learns and continuously evolves our training approach to increase adoption and support consistent execution.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partners with Sales Leaders and business partners to identify skill gaps, learning needs and development opportunities that support evolving business priorities and sales effectiveness
  • Creates and maintains training materials, sales playbooks and ongoing resources that make Life and P&C products, sales strategies and business priorities easier to understand and apply
  • Develops and maintains a SharePoint site as a centralized resource for training, marketing and sales strategies, processes, compensation programs and related resources
  • Works closely with subject matter experts across the organization to develop relevant, effective training and resources for Sales Leaders and agents
  • Leads and continuously evolves key training programs and technology best practices to meet changing business and learning needs
  • Partners with Sales and Marketing to help bring campaigns and strategies to life through training, tools and resources
  • Develops and delivers onboarding and ongoing training for Sales Leaders and independent agents to help them succeed from the start
  • Evaluates training effectiveness through feedback, participation, adoption and available performance information, to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Builds strong, trusted relationships across the organization and uses collaboration and influence to gain alignment, bring the right people together and move training initiatives forward
  • Stays current on adult learning practices, insurance industry trends and sales practices and brings new ideas and approaches into training and development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience
  • Typically requires 7+ years of experience in related field
  • Prior experiance as a trainer

Preferred or Specialized

  • Salesforce knowledge

Certifications & Licenses

  • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Fellow, Life Management Institute (FMLI) preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

In-depth ability to:

  • Communicate with confidence, persuasion and tact at all levels of the organization
  • Facilitate engaging training for individuals and groups in both in-person and virtual settings
  • Simplify complex information into practical, easy-to-understand training and resources
  • Build strong relationships and influence others without direct authority
  • Partner with subject matter experts to develop effective learning solutions
  • Adapt training approaches to different audiences, learning needs and business priorities
  • Analyze training feedback and results to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Organize and prioritize multiple initiatives while meeting deadlines

In-depth knowledge of:

  • Adult learning, instructional design and facilitation practices.
  • Microsoft Office, SharePoint and learning and presentation technologies

 

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. 

 

Pay Range:    

    $94,000 - $129,000 annually       

  •  This range is based on the expected level of experience and skills for this position. Final compensation will depend on individual.
