What You'll Be Doing

  • Responsible for the receipt, review and approval of Commercial loan documentation that will include Commercial Real Estate documentation relative to conformity with the approved loan presentation.
  • Insure all loan documents have been received, or otherwise waived prior to the loan booking process.
  • The Commercial Loan Coordinator will also make sure that the proposed transaction is in compliance with Credit Policy.
  • The Commercial Loan Coordinator will track outside loan exceptions and will insure that all necessary documents are properly recorded and delivered to the Bank in a timely manner.
  • The loan portfolio will consist of large and mid-sized Commercial loan transactions and Real Estate loan transactions, a large percentage of which will include Syndicated Credits.
  • This position supports the Commercial Loan Lines of Business and is part of the centralized Loan Operations Closing Team.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • 3-5 years of related experience; Loan Closing experience (or similar) in a Bank or Financial Institution environment is required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills (both written and verbal) required

  • Commercial loan documentation and product knowledge required

  • Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment required

  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft 365 productivity software required

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to effectively balance excellent client service and risk management 

  • Knowledge of CIBC’s loan systems, FIS, ACBS, PCFS, Aspire, an asse

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $90,000 - 100,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
