Overview

The Hosting Operations team is seeking an initiative-taking and experienced Expert Systems Engineer to join a growing team. This individual will work closely with the Business Unit leaders, Support leadership team, SDO, Altera internal IT, partners, and vendors.


This is a remote role in the US or Canada.


Responsibilities

  • Perform application monitoring and performance troubleshooting (SQL slowness, Network, TW Application, IIS worker Process, Windows technologies, Load balance and Azure technologies for existing and new customers.
  • Use Altera Proactive Tools like APPD and LM to find existing issue before client open reactive cases for their users, Provider details technical analysis as well.
  • Technical Stewardship: Provide continual technical guidance and support to the project team during the PPO Client meetings.
  • Solution design: Provided investigate client issue and work on script to detect same issue for all hosted client.
  • Communication: Create architectural diagrams and documentation to effectively communicate design to the project team.
  • Provide technical inputs during project status meetings and address any technical roadblocks.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation through the project lifecycle including architecture design documents, configuration guide, and release notes.
  • Engage in technical problem solving across multiple technologies
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Participate in on-call 24X7 support

Contribution towards the team synergy:

  • Coach, and mentor junior team members and provide leadership.
  • Complete root cause analysis and problem management and share with team members to improve team processes.
  • Knowledge transfer with other team members to improve overall team education level.
  • Take ownership of assigned task(s) and provide project updates.

Qualifications

 

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, management information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Technical certifications
  • Able to Work on IIS worker Process slowness troubleshooting

Experience:

  • Team Player with proven communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills (able to use office 365 all solutions)
  • Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into understandable business language
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud and Altera TW application.
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Strong Knowledge of software applications and operating platforms, storage area networks, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Performance Troubleshooting, Network, IIS web server troubleshooting, Microsoft Power Shell, DUMP review business continuity.
  • Basic familiarity with healthcare organizations.
  • Ability to write scripts in PowerShell.
  • Ability to review DUMP for application crash
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to learn and communicate new technologies.
  • Knowledge of APPD and Logic Monitor Tool

 Travel Requirements:

  • May require minimum travel for business needs

Working Arrangements:

  • Work is performed in a remote environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
