About the Role:
The Senior Technical Instructional Designer is responsible for designing high-impact, scalable learning experiences for technical enablement audiences, including Sales Engineers, Partners and Alliances.This role partners closely with the Director of Content Development on the revenue enablement team to translate technical strategy, product capabilities, field priorities and business requirements into structured learning programs that build technical fluency, improve field execution, and scale enablement impact globally.
While being a technical practitioner is not required, strong technical acumen and the ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts are critical to success in this role. Candidates with prior experience as a Sales Engineer, technical pre-sales professional, or in a hands-on technical role will be especially well positioned to excel.

This role is critical to how we enable technical sellers and partners at scale. By combining senior-level instructional design expertise with strong technical understanding, you’ll help ensure our technical enablement programs are accurate, engaging, strategically aligned, and impactful.
What You'll Do:Partner closely with the Director of Content Development to shape enablement strategies, curriculum roadmaps, and scalable learning programs for technical sellers, partners, and alliance audiences
Translate technical strategy, product complexity, and field needs into clear learning objectives, curriculum architectures, learner journeys, and instructional frameworks
Lead the design of end-to-end learning experiences, including:
Course architecture

Blended programs
Serve as a strategic instructional design partner to highly technical SMEs by:
Extracting knowledge
Challenging assumptions
Validating accuracy
Ensuring learning aligns to real-world technical and field use cases
Establish and maintain instructional design standards, templates, frameworks, and best practices across technical enablement programs
Guide, review, and support course writers, content developers, and other contributors to ensure execution aligns with instructional design standards, learner needs, and program goals
Design for multiple delivery modalities, including:

Blended learning experiences
Apply adult learning principles, technical enablement best practices, and performance-based learning strategies to improve:

Identify opportunities to increase consistency, scalability, reusability, and efficiency across technical enablement curriculum and content development processes
Leverage tools such as Google Workspace, enablement platforms, authoring tools, and AI-assisted design tools to accelerate design, iteration, and content development

Experience using feedback, data, and field insights to evaluate learning effectiveness and improve curriculum design over time

Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
