This position is the support for the Assistant Controller and Controller. It requires an individual with strong analytical skills who can perform reconciliations and analysis of various accounts to provide to management while conducting other functions related to accounting including transaction verifications, preparing the general ledger for financial reporting, maintaining the expense reporting system, sales/use tax returns, payroll processing, and other financial reporting.


Responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Gathers and analyzes information from the general ledger system (AR/AP/Payroll) and from other departments. Performs various daily functions including checks and balances for proper coding and back-up. Training new employees to use the tool.
  • Assists Cost Accountant/Controller with inventory, analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Monthly balance sheet analysis and binders for individual companies.
  • Performs monthly purchasing cards and bank account reconciliations.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/use tax return.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance Required
  • Payroll processing and general accounting experience
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Knowledge of ADP preferred
  • Knowledge of Concur Expense reporting a plus
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
