Position Summary


Amp Americas (Amp) seeks a motivated professional accountant to join its accounting team as a Staff Accountant. Responsibilities include preparation of journal entries, monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis. This position reports to the Controller and will regularly interact with the entire accounting/finance team, as well as with Asset Management, Legal, and Operations teams.


Key Responsibilities


  • Execute daily and monthly accounting activities (e.g., recording journal entries, G/L account reconciliations, monthly close) for assigned subsidiary companies, including cash, accounts receivables, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and accruals
  • Collaborate with Amp’s Asset Managers to produce monthly financial reports for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects, including budget vs actual analysis and insights
  • Field and resolve inquiries from management, ownership, and external auditors
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of accounting tools and special projects

Other Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • 2+ years of work experience in corporate accounting or audit (preferred)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (required)
  • Experience with multiple subsidiary organizations (preferred)
  • Experience with accounting for capital projects (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals
  • Aptitude for solving problems independently and an interest in alternative and renewable energy
