West Monroe seeks a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with robust financial acumen and exceptional critical thinking abilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a spectrum of accounting and finance tasks, ranging from daily operational processes to comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute monthly journal entries, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in all aspects of accounting, including integrations, acquisitions, and analysis of large datasets.
- Conduct thorough month-end reconciliations of various accounts (i.e. prepaids, accruals, fixed assets) to validate accuracy and integrity of financial data. Identify, monitor, and escalate identifiable variances.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and automation initiatives within the Accounting & Finance team, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audit documentation, including gathering PBC (Provided by Client) list documents to facilitate a smooth audit process.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decision-making, utilizing analytical skills to provide actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based project environment, with the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Exhibit strong self-motivation and exceptional analytical skills.
- Display excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior management.
- Demonstrate adaptability to changes in the work environment, embracing new challenges and evolving priorities with resilience.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint),
- Experience in ERP accounting system; knowledge of Workday/Adaptive a plus.
- Experience in billing and CRM systems, such as Salesforce/Kantata.
Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
