Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant supports the accuracy and integrity of Summit's financial operations through month-end close activities, reconciliations, financial analysis, and day-to-day accounting support. This role works closely with Finance and cross-functional partners to maintain reliable financial records and support informed business decisions.

 

What You’ll Do:

·       Prepare journal entries and support monthly close activities.

·       Perform general ledger analysis and account reconciliations.

·       Complete daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

·       Support balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting activities.

·       Assist with commission reviews in partnership with Sales Operations and People Operations.

·       Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related reporting.

·       Provide backup support for accounts payable processes.

·       Manage accounting-related credit card activity and documentation.

·       Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.

·       Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed.

Bonus Points:

·       Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

·       1-3 years of accounting experience.

·       Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting platforms.

·       Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

·       Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

·       Experience supporting accounting functions in a technology or professional services environment.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $56,000 – $75,000 annually. Compensation for this role is based on experience, skills, and location. We aim to make offers that are fair, forward-looking, and aligned to both what you bring and where you’re growing.
