Staff Product Designer - Growth

Hi, I'm Lais Celem, a Product Design Manager and Group Lead at Jane. I've been at Jane for almost 4 years, and I lead the teams responsible for the very first experiences our customers have with Jane. From the moment someone signs up, through onboarding, setup, and data import, my group focuses on making Jane easy to choose, settle in and grow. That early experience matters deeply to our mission to help the helpers, because when clinics feel confident and supported early, they can spend more time caring for people.

Outside of work, I'm raising two small kids, wrangling a very happy dog, and living near world-class climbing. I also spend a month each year working from Brazil with my family. Jane's flexibility lets me show up fully at home while still taking on ambitious, meaningful work. That balance, combined with a high bar for craft and care, is what keeps me energized about what we're building.

We're forming a new Activation team to tackle a complex and highly impactful challenge for Jane. This Staff Growth Designer role will shape how clinics discover Jane, sign up, and reach real value fast, so they feel confident that Jane was the right choice from their very first day. It's meaningful work with real reach, and a lot of discovery and experimentation at the heart of it.

What impact we're looking for you to make

  • Advocate for our helpers by grounding decisions in thoughtful user research and real behavioural data, so we understand what actually helps clinics get to value and what gets in their way.

  • Elevate the quality of the experience customers have with Jane, from the moment they sign up through their first 90 days.

  • Reduce friction and drop-off in the earliest moments, so more clinics reach their "this is it" moment and stay, improving activation and retention.

  • Collaborate closely with teams across the product organization to design a cohesive, forward-thinking activation experience that scales with Jane's growth.

  • Own and move a set of activation metrics, designing with a data-driven mindset, and letting the data guide where you dig in, what you ship, and what you try next.

  • Step into leadership moments by aligning stakeholders, designing and running experiments, and using storytelling to bring teams along with confidence and care.

What experience we need

  • 8+ years of product design experience in a SaaS or similarly complex environment.

  • Demonstrated experience designing for growth, including activation, onboarding, and conversion funnels, with a strong sense of what moves the metrics that matter.

  • Experience designing and running experiments, reading data and turning what you learn into clear, confident design decisions that improve product outcomes.

  • Fluency with modern design tools and comfort working iteratively in close collaboration with product managers, engineers, data partners, and other designers.

  • A genuine curiosity for AI and a habit of putting it to work in your day to day, whether that's prototyping ideas faster, making sense of research, finding patterns in data, etc.

More About Jane

We build the products and tools that thousands of clinics rely on every day to run their businesses, care for their patients, and grow their communities. That level of impact means every person at Jane plays an important role in how we show up for our customers. We're all responsible for being deeply connected to their needs, obsessed with improving their experience, and proud of the difference our work makes in their day-to-day lives.
Jane is growing fast, and that growth brings exciting challenges that call for adaptability, resilience, learning agility, and humility. We're proud of what we've built and quick to admit what we don't know yet. We listen, learn, and adjust as we go. More than 70,000 businesses run on Jane which has 250,000+ practitioners interacting with our product on a daily basis and growth is continuing to accelerate.
Our goal isn't just delivery - it's delight. We move quickly, communicate openly, and solve real problems together. If you're energized by ambiguity, motivated by impact, and eager to learn with others, you'll thrive at Jane.

Compensation & Benefits

At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of $144,000 to $225,000. While that is a large range, it is intentional. It reflects the full growth journey someone might take in the role, from developing skills early on to becoming highly proficient and ultimately achieving excellence.

Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $180,000. A starting salary below this typically indicates a candidate with strong potential who is still developing key skills. Salaries above this usually apply to existing team members who have made a significant impact and bring deep Jane-specific knowledge.

We believe in paying for growth. You’ll have regular career development conversations with your manager and your compensation will grow as you gain experience and contribute meaningfully to our mission.

Paying clearly is one of our compensation fundamentals. Watch this short video to learn how our salary bands are set. You’re also encouraged to ask questions about compensation at any point during the interview process.

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package. You can learn more about it here!
