Who We Are

We started our company to help others launch and run their own businesses, at any stage. The way we help is by keeping it simple and supporting entrepreneurs one step at a time. Put simply: our mission is to enable anyone to start, run, and grow their business while avoiding the common pitfalls that derail hopeful entrepreneurs. No more having to wade through forms, taxes, or ongoing state compliance.

We are a remote company based in Austin, Texas. We have team members from Florida to Oregon and all points in-between. Take pride in your work knowing that it shapes how people all across the country reach their goal of starting, running, and growing their business.

If the idea of helping people and working with a genuinely caring, supportive team excites you, then you’ve come to the right place.

The Role

We're hiring a Staff Product Manager to own the logged-in customer experience at ZenBusiness — the first experience a new business owner sees after signing up and starting to run their company. This role is about everything that happens after completing their formation: how we keep them coming back, deepening the value they get from our product suite, and turning first-time customers into long-term relationships.

You'll own the product roadmap for our native apps (iOS and Android) and web dashboard. Your mandate is to create a unified, delightful, self-serve experience that helps business owners get more out of every ZenBusiness product they own — from formations and compliance to marketing and fintech — and to drive more awareness and attachment of our highest-value offerings they don’t yet own.

This is a high-visibility individual contributor role that reports directly to the VP of Product, Growth.

Responsibilities

Build a unified product experience with Velo at the center

  • Define and drive the product roadmap for the logged-in Web & native app experiences, focused on engagement depth, repeat usage, and in-app monetization.
  • Partner with our Velo team to bring our AI business guide to the center of our logged in experience, leveraging the unique capabilities of our agentic platform to do more for our business owners.
  • Collaborate closely with the product managers who own our individual products — formations, compliance, marketing, and fintech — to bring the best of each into a single, coherent customer experience.
  • Identify and run experiments to lift core engagement, retention, and product-attachment metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and marketing to execute against that vision.

Drive usage and attachment of our highest-value products

  • Drive activation across our product suite by directly leading activation initiatives and equipping other PMs with the tools to drive activation themselves. If a customer paid for it, your job is to get them to use it.
  • Drive higher activation and usage of our key formations, compliance, marketing, and fintech products by surfacing the right capability at the right moment.
  • Increase awareness and attachment of our highest-value products through thoughtful CTAs, cross-sell sequencing, and upsell entry points — without compromising the customer experience.
  • Use experimentation and customer data to find friction in the purchase funnel and optimize conversion at every step.
  • Act as the primary Product point of contact across product marketing, customer success, finance, and other teams that contribute to increasing customer attach rate and retention.

Operate as a builder

  • Use AI across the product lifecycle — research, ideation, prototyping, experiment design — with tools like Claude, Lovable, v0, and Replit as your default mode of working, not a one-off.
  • Prototype your high-potential ideas and put them in front of real customers or internal users for rapid feedback and iteration.
  • Contribute to our product features that create real customer value — with the judgment to know where AI deepens the experience vs. where it's a distraction.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years at a Staff or senior PM level.
  • Proven track record owning mobile app products (iOS and/or Android) — you understand the platform, the patterns, and how to drive engagement on native surfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to design unified experiences across multiple products and partner closely with other PMs to make the whole greater than the sum of its parts.
  • Experience designing self-serve customer experiences with thoughtful escalation paths to human support.
  • Strong instincts around monetization — you know how to position products, write CTAs, structure purchase flows, and find the friction that kills conversion.
  • Experience working across web and native apps simultaneously; you think in customer journeys, not platforms.
  • Strong collaborator with design and engineering; you can drive decisions without authority.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity — this role requires you to set direction, not execute someone else's roadmap.
  • Bonus: experience with AI-powered product features, SMB or subscription products, or growth experimentation.

Why This Role Matters

ZenBusiness serves over 1 million small business owners, and our product suite spans formations, compliance, marketing, and fintech. This role exists to ensure that entrepreneurs can use ZenBusiness as their operating system to confidently grow their business. The dashboard and native app are where the ZenBusiness experience comes to life.
