About XBOW

At XBOW, we’re redefining the future of cybersecurity by building the world's first autonomous pentester, powered by AI. Today, the gold standard for securing software systems is human pentesters, but with the rise of artificial intelligence, we’re stepping up to scale offensive security to meet the ever-growing demand.

AI is transforming the landscape of both cybersecurity and cyberattacks. While millions of people without security expertise are creating software, bad actors are using AI to launch more effective attacks. XBOW fights back with AI-driven superpowers, enabling security teams to stay one step ahead.

Backed by Sequoia Capital and Altimeter, and a team that includes the creators of GitHub Copilot and GitHub Advanced Security, XBOW is not just keeping up with the times—we’re shaping the future of cybersecurity. Our mission is simple: to defeat the bad actors before they strike, using AI to revolutionize how we approach offensive security.

We’re building something that must be built, and we’re the team to do it. Join us in shaping the next frontier of autonomous security.

Your Role

We are looking for a Staff Web Engineer to own and evolve XBOW’s web presence as a high-performance growth engine. This is not a traditional marketing site role. You will build a fast, dynamic, and technically sophisticated system that reflects the power of our product. This role directly impacts pipeline generation, conversion rate, and organic growth.

You will sit at the intersection of engineering, design, and growth with full system ownership of the website stack. This includes CMS architecture, frontend implementation, and deployment infrastructure. You will treat the website as a product, with measurable performance across technical SEO, speed, and conversion.

Our stack includes Next.js, React, Sanity, and Vercel. You will take it further.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the XBOW marketing website stack end-to-end, including architecture, performance, and reliability

  • Build fast, scalable, and high-quality interfaces using React and Next.js

  • Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive user experiences

  • Design and maintain a modular content system in Sanity to enable rapid iteration

  • Own CI/CD and deployment workflows on Vercel

  • Ensure data integrity across marketing tools (CRM, forms, enrichment, attribution)

  • Optimize performance across the site, including Core Web Vitals and SEO

  • Improve and modernize the codebase using current Next.js patterns such as Server Components and edge rendering

  • Partner with Web, Brand, Product, and GTM to ship quickly and iterate on experiments

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks across frontend, CMS, and infrastructure

  • Help define how XBOW presents itself on the web as a category-defining AI company

Who You Are
  • Strong experience building modern web applications with React, TypeScript, and Next.js

  • Experience deploying and scaling applications on Vercel or similar platforms

  • Hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms, with Sanity preferred

  • Ability to translate design systems and Figma files into high-quality production code

  • Strong understanding of web performance, technical SEO (structured data, sitemaps, indexing, rendering), and modern rendering strategies

  • Experience owning systems end-to-end from infrastructure through frontend

  • Strong product sense and attention to detail

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Design, Product, and Marketing

Bonus if you have
  • Experience migrating from legacy CMS platforms such as WordPress to headless CMS

  • Familiarity with analytics tools and experimentation frameworks

  • Experience with edge functions, caching strategies, and performance optimization

  • Experience working on high-growth startup websites or product surfaces

  • Interest in AI-native interfaces or developer tools

What We Offer:
  • Compensation & Equity: Competitive salary, clear performance-based incentives, and equity package, making you an integral part of XBOW’s growth story.

  • Career Growth: Significant opportunities to progress within the sales organization and shape your career trajectory as we scale.

  • Meaningful Work: You’ll directly impact XBOW’s mission to revolutionize cybersecurity and protect organizations worldwide.

What Else You Should Know
  • Location: Remote-US

  • Contract: Full-time

  • Hiring Process:

    • Introduction with Talent

    • HM Interview

    • Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing Interview

    • CMO Interview

At XBOW, we leverage AI every day, it's embedded in our product and our sales approach. But for this role, we’re seeking someone who brings genuine curiosity, empathy, and persistence. If that's you, we'd love to connect.
