We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to work with the Corporate Headquarters Team to facilitate Headquarter-based client groups' sourcing and purchasing needs, partner with departmental stakeholders, and lead strategic sourcing initiatives with a particular emphasis on indirect services and service-based contracts. This role will be responsible for managing sourcing projects from requirements gathering through contract execution, including drafting and executing RFPs, evaluating supplier proposals, and translating supplier quotes into well-defined Statements of Work (SOWs). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background with true sourcing and contract negotiations to make a direct, tangible impact on the success of the company.
As Strategic Sourcing Analyst, you will:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned internal client groups, with a significant focus on indirect services categories and service-related spend, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder requirements
- Own the end-to-end RFP/RFX process, including gathering business requirements, drafting sourcing documents, coordinating stakeholder reviews, managing supplier communications, evaluating responses, and recommending suppliers for award
- Deploy sourcing tools including supplier search, analysis, supplier management, contract management, RFX development, and execution utilizing the Scanmarket software
- Negotiate and manage service-based supplier agreements and contracts to achieve optimal value, risk mitigation, and business outcomes
- Translate supplier proposals, quotes, and commercial offerings into clear, concise Statements of Work (SOWs) that accurately define deliverables, timelines, service levels, and commercial terms.
- Partner and develop relationships with internal clients to define and prioritize business requirements
- Research industries and suppliers utilizing AI to ensure the most viable suppliers are identified and considered
- Demonstrate value of the Sourcing Department to the organization by defining, measuring and reporting relevant metrics
- Serve as the project manager for sourcing initiatives by coordinating stakeholders, maintaining project timelines, tracking supplier communications, documenting decisions, and ensuring sourcing activities remain on schedule
A successful Strategic Sourcing Analyst will demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience leading sourcing projects and managing multiple concurrent initiatives, with strong project management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to analyze supplier proposals and translate business requirements into detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) and contract documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing through influence
- Strong relationship building skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
To be considered for the position, you must have:
- 7+ years of sourcing and procurement experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including significant experience managing indirect services spend in a headquarters environment and service-based supplier relationships
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing RFPs/RFQs from initial requirements gathering through supplier selection and contract award
- Experience drafting, negotiating and managing professional services, consulting, technology, or other indirect services contracts is strongly preferred
- CPM, CPSM or similar professional certification desired
- Pharmaceutical experience is preferred, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
