We are currently looking for a hands-on Analyst who wants to learn and grow with TechNexus, a venture collaborative that connects corporations and startups. You will be responsible for working across multiple areas within TechNexus including venture investing, strategy and corporate development, venture portfolio support, and new opportunity development. This is a unique role in which Analysts will have an opportunity to work directly with Fortune 500 Executives, as well as Founders/CEO's of early-stage companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Market research on corporations' products and services, analyzing markets and industries, business models, and opportunity evaluation.
  • Supporting strategy and corporate development projects related to industry and investment opportunity areas.
  • Evaluating ventures for potential investment through due diligence and creating reports.
  • Analyzing alignment of ventures with corporate partners' growth plans.
  • Analyzing competitors' business models and evaluating emerging technologies.
  • Executing the investment process, including sourcing; financial review and modeling; and drafting investment documentation. Interacting with partners and ventures, gathering data, and creating presentations.
  • Supporting portfolio companies and portfolio reporting across our 140+ portfolio companies.
  • Supporting business development through activities such as market research, deliverable creation, and opportunity ideation.
  • Networking building with ventures, investors, and industry stakeholders to create new relationships and deal sources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Technology, Economics).
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience (which includes, but not limited to consulting, corporate strategy, investing, technology startup).
  • Interest in venture capital and emerging technologiesProficiency in strategic analysis, project management, and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and experience interfacing with both internal teams and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to perform in an ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.

Please note: The salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $100,000.
