The Role

We are seeking a motivated and eager student to join our IT department as an intern. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience and exposure to IT operations, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and technical support in a global company. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals, learning how IT infrastructure supports daily business activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the IT team in resolving technical issues related to software, hardware, and networking.
  • Assist IT engineers during helpdesk support to staff for common IT problems.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software, and network equipment.
  • Help keep internal systems up to date, ensuring the company’s IT infrastructure is secure and functioning properly.
  • Learn basic networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and assist with network administration tasks.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve issues related to office hardware like computers, printers, and other devices.
  • Support in installing and setting up new software and hardware devices across the organization.
  • Assist with software updates, patches, and version upgrades.
  • Learn how to create, maintain and update documentation related to IT systems and procedures.
  • Track and report on technical issues, solutions, and IT inventory.
  • Help the engineering and security team reviewing China documentation related to data privacy.
  • Participate in ongoing IT projects, such as system upgrades, deployments, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Learn how to provide assistance on various tasks related to project implementation and testing.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and networking.
  • Enthusiastic about technology and eager to learn in a practical, professional setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Mandarin or Cantonese language knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with basic network protocols and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Experience or coursework related to cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or database management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or project management tools.

Pay Range Guidelines for this Position:

The hourly range for this position is 24.00 USD to 24.00 USD. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience and skills.
